Netflix has always been something I've enjoyed while at someone's house. However, I never had it myself. Well, I finally was persuaded otherwise yesterday. And to my dismay, it's not working well. The show has to stop three-four times in a 45 minute show to reload. The picture comes off fuzzy, similar to if you're watching a Youtube video and hit full screen. To put it simply, the inadequate picture and frequent loading times interrupt a pleasant experience. I was hoping someone may have some ideas or suggestions. Let me tell you a little information: I have a Netgear 600 wireless router, which I'm told is a relatively good router. My router is down in the basement, where the television that Netflix plays on is located. The modem, however, is directly above it on the first floor. I have a minute opening I made so I could run the Ethernet cord directly from upstairs down into the basement. I cannot say definitively what kind of internet I have. All I can say is that it's through At&t, and it's Basic "High-Speed Internet." |

Haha, it's alright I've sorted it I got Netflix the other day actually, and the fuzzy looking screen usually comes up on my TV as well. It usually sorts itself after a minute though and it's clear as day. It could really be any number of things though, it could be that your internet isn't fast enough to support netflix so it needs to buffer every now and again. If the router is in the same room as you're TV it shouldn't be a signal problem. Have you tried watching it on your laptop? If it works fine on there, it could be an issue with your TV. I'm not 100% sure though, like I said I only got it the other day myself

Thanks lol. I bought a new tv less than two weeks ago, and it's been spectacular. So I doubt it's the tv. |

Give netflix a quick blast on your laptop, just to double check. On a slightly unrelated note, Is it a SMART tv that you have then? How does the internet get to them, is it via a router/modem or is it another way? I've never had the urge to read up about them, is all

I did not purchase a Smart TV. Seemed redundant for myself since I want a TV primarily for gaming and movies in HD. I have a 1080p 120 MHz 50" Samsung. |

Ah fair enough. How is netflix on your TV then? Is it through a gaming console? it wont be the TV that's the issue then as I assumed netflix was being streamed straight from there Edited by Gene, Aug 30 2013, 11:13:22 PM.

On your PS3, go to network setting, internet connect, and test internet connection. You mind telling me the upload and download speed of your MBPS? |

Download: .39 Mbps Upload: .21 Mbps Something seems off. My computer used to not be slow. It's not excellent, but it's still DSL and not dial-up. Is that site real reliable? |

Netflix has Breaking Bad. That alone is worth getting it. @Swag I think it's your internet man. I also use it on my PS3 and I have no resolution drops or loading time (after the initial loading that is). |

Worth a try. I know when I lived at my parents house, they had the modem hooked up to the computer and the router. The result was that the internet was awful upstairs but fine on the main computer. It might be that it's sharing the data or something *shrugs*. Don't quote me on it though, I might be talking out of my anus. |

I have the modem run from upstairs to the router, and my laptop works wirelessly with the router. But the router connects to the PS3. |

Therr shouldn't be any issues if the ps3 is connected through an ethernet cable, but your computer says otherwise try using a different ethernet cable or plugging ir just into a different port on the routr |
