Listen in awe and you'll hear him...cluck at the moon!

It was the year 2000 and I was on Napster dl'ing some tunes and I had Napster chat open. Back in those days I either went by Dracul976 (as in the father Vlad Tepes) or The Antipop (as in the album/song by Primus). So I get this PM from someone named Strawberry_Fizz that said "do you like vampires?". So I proceeded to explain my user name to this person (that Dracula means the son of Dracul and that the historical figure Vlad the Impailer was called Dracula because his father was named Dracul), Strawberry_Fizz was impressed by my knowledge an asked if I was on AIM (AOL instant messenger for you kids who don't know). So after speaking to each other for quite a long time we discovered that we lived on opposite ends of the state (Georgia). We arranged to meet in person and I fell head over heels in love with her. The problem was that I was 15 and she was 19. The next year she enrolled in Savannah College of Art and Design which was considrably closer but still a good drive away. I got my drivers license soon after and started skipping school to drive down there and see her. After her first semester she transferred to the local university and the rest is history. |
