Death in the Family is great when it pulls your emotional strings and the like, but they're taking the political stuff overboard. It should be a backdrop for the story, not much else.

The end left much to be desired, it just felt too abrupt, no foregone conclusion to Batman's changing morality, and the political stuff, again, was overboard. But it really did a number on the viewer with the stuff preceding, and Jason's actual death. Next up: Legends of the Dark Knight, 1-30.

Another thing that bugged me, and has in several comics/noverls, is the shape of Joker's head. I don't mind it being a bit pointy, but good lord his head in this is something else. Arkham Asylum was standard fair, it looked good, but was just really, Joker. Nothing really wrong with that, though.
