Who are some of your favorite comedians and who are some horribly overrated comedians? Before I switched cable companies, I literally had nearly 100 hours of comedians recorded on my DVR. Unfortunately, I forgot a lot of them.

Since I can't recall all those names, I'll mention some big names that are good: Louis C.K. Watched a recent standup that was pretty disappointing, but at one point this guy was golden. Dave Chappelle used to be great, but he just randomly fell off the radar. I really wish I could recall some specials I had recorded of people not so big yet, but were hilarious.

As for overrated, obviously most people will agree Dane Cook. However, he has been notoriously received hate now. He was funny in Waiting, but that's the best he had going for him.

Aziz Azaira (I know I murdered that) is a more recent example. This "bro comedy" just isn't great, nor does this guy really have much going for him.

Who do you consider good and overrated?

I originally was going to post in MOVIES/TV, but I felt inclined to post it in OPINIONS since I'm asking about preferences. But, whatever works :)

The Jon Jones of MGSF

Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, Greg Giraldo, Ron White, Norm MacDonald... other names that don't immediately come to mind... Patrice O'Neal... Louis CK. Names. All great.

Louis CK is the best out there. I watched Aziz Ansari (not that hard to spell) and he was ok, not exactly intelligent humour but I got laughs out of it.

I'm a big stand up fan to be honest. I love stand up comedy and have a huge collection of stand up's. Some of my favs are: Louis C.K., David Cross, Doug Stanhope, Reginald D. Hunter, Chris Rock, Patton Oswalt and Sean Lock. They are all my favourite comedians probably.

As a bonus here's a few of my fav bits from some of my fav comedians.

David Cross (8 minute clip) (On Corrs Light and some other shit..)

Reginald D Hunter on Batman (3 min clip)

Sean Lock on when people dial the wrong number (1 min clip)

MGSV is a bit shit

Michael Mcintyre, Lee Evans, Lee Mack would be my top 3. Others I quite like are Stewart Francis, Josh Widdicombe, Jon Richardson and Russell Brand.

Comedians I don't like? Sarah Millican, Miranda Hart, Jason Manford, Milton Jones and Chris Addison are all pretty poor.

Vanilla Coke is better. I'm the shite one.

I like Sean Lock, he is a bit hit or miss though. I went to one of his stand up shows and wasn't impressed. He is hilarious on 8 out of 10 cats though.

One of my favourites is Ricky Gervais, his new stuff has not impressed me. But the Office and his stand up shows are fantastic. If a little heavy handed with the overall message.

Also, Louis CK is overrated.

It's funny how subjective comedy is, I feel the opposite about Jason Manford and Lee Mack. I also really like Dara O'Brian while most consider him a weak stand-up.

I like quite a few comedians. Some of my favourites are Franky Boyle, Andy Parsons, Ricky Gervais, Lee Evans, Sean Locke (on a good night).

I need to watch some Louis CK though, I hear loads of people rave about him.
