i'm sure i wouldn't have such trouble just to play mgo2 again, but i have to admit, it's pretty impressive.

Tell me what do you guys think about it.

as much as i miss the game, the only way i will even consider going for it is if they make it possible to play without cfw, which is unlikely to ever happen.playing mgo2 on a buggy, laggy and low populated server isnt worth getting banned from psn.

Um... I don't think you have to connect to PSN once MGO2 is up again. They found a way to bypass that shit, and there's a good chance the server would be encrypted so that no one could analyze your activity.

once you cfw your ps3,you wont be able to un-cfw it.this means that youwont be able to log in psn to play games online(other than mgo that is) without risking to get your account banned.so essentially youll turn your ps3 into a mgo player(though youll still be able to play other games offline).its just not worth it,especially since the servers will be pretty limited.

Vanilla Coke is better. I'm the shite one.

Also, the dude bringing back the game on savemgo.com is a well known DDOSer/glitcher. And is going to use his position to take advantage of everyone. He was the kind of mgo player that just wanted an easy win. Not to better himself.

good point there. It's not worth it. It was a fantastic game and my personal favorite, but it would never be the same. The game is dead and buried and i couldn't play it with cheaters.

Fingers crossed for a good MGO3

I don't know about that. At one point, I did install CFW on my PS3, but my little brother may have updated to official firmware. And if I recall correctly, someone found a way to get a hack PSP to connect to PSN without getting banned, so the same should be said for PS3, right?

It is a great shame but a lot of notable MGO2 players aren't coming back. Most of them aren't. And there aren't going to be many noobs for the killing either. Few people are going to jailbreak they PS3's to play that empty game again. Those people in charge probably just want it back to find yet more glitches in the system.

Yea this seems like alot of shit to go through when MGO3 is coming out this Winter, maybe even sooner with a beta, if there is one.

The high bar of entry is not worth it at all. MGO2's community was toxic, and the concentration of that toxicity would likely be even higher given the difficulty of access. Not to mention the fact that all MGO2 was was a lot of fantastic ideas with mediocre execution.

I don't think it's worth all the trouble of jailbreaking your PS3 just to play one game in particular. That and MGO3 is not that far from release (Hopefully). So yeah, I'm waiting for MGO3.
