Chico will be the new Raiden.

What I mean by that? I mean that everyone hates Chico now, but by the time TPP comes out, we will take a level in badass and be everyone's favorite character...well, after Ocelot. Just like Raiden in MGS2 to MGS4.
I think there is a distinct possibility that he will go from Big Boss' least trusted to Big Boss' most trusted leuitenant ;)

Scott Dolphin is Chico.
Hadn't even thought of that; it must be true.

Chico is Hideo Kojima
It all makes sense now. Like, remember when Hideo talked about that being him looking over his creations in the TPP hospital scene? maybe that is Chico, who symbolizes a young Kojima who didn't know his creations would become something so huge and big, represented by Big Boss/Kaz.

Okay, I couldn't resist. :D

Oh really?

So you want to do away with building your base and sending troops on missions, as well as recruiting and developing new weapons/vehicles?

If it's as poorly implemented in TPP as it was in PW, then yeah.

However, I think this time around it will go much better.

Obviously.

It is like people forget PW was made for a handheld. Of course it was limited to hell as to what it could have been.

MGS1 is for PSX (weaker than a PSP) and shits from Mount Olympus on Piss Walker.
I always looked the army building thing stupid, it works for the monster hunter crowd on PSP, but on console blararggh, also i hope i dont have to grind for fucking weapons, PW was a 2 hours game with too much useless filler in it.

Yes, because I'm sure it is totally fair to compare MGS1 to Peace Walker.

Seriously?

His point is that MGS1 wasn't as limited as PW.

But I agree, why compare the titles? MGS1 shits all over PW.

I wouldn't mind at all if Chico died in Ground Zeroes. If he did survive however I can see him coming back as a complete and utter badass and totally shattering everybody's feelings of dislike for him.

Here's hoping.

But the question is, would Big Boss still trust him after that? Sure Chico is a kid, but he's fucked his comrades over twice now.

He'd certainly have to do something to regain his trust. Perhaps watching over him for nine years? ^_^

If he dies, I hope it's more than just not surviving the crash, if it does indeed occur (I'm not convinced it does).

Big Boss and Kaz think it was Paz who betrayed them (Kaz does at least) so unless Chico confesses I can see there being no ill will between them. We know he doesn't own up to leaking the information in Ground Zeroes so either he does so after the chopper crash or he tells him in The Phantom Pain. I can't see Big Boss holding a grudge against him either way.

Yeah, nice idea. I'd still be dubious when I started up Diamond Dogs though, if I were Big Boss :P

Yeah, fair point. I don't see Chico keeping it a secret though to be honest. I reckon it will eat away at him, especially if Kaz is bad mouthing Paz in front of him.

I think he'd be pretty upset he disobeyed him and snuck off idiotically. After seeing how tormented Chico was, I'd assume Boss would presume Chico was tortured. From that he'd conclude Chico divulged significant information. Or he'd question it at the very least, and Chico isn't a talented liar who could manipulate Boss' perception.

This! Except for the part of Chico dying. If that happened, then I'd start raging.

I'm pretty sure that Chico will tell them. This is also another reason for Chico to have survived. I can see Big Boss forgiving Chico for talking, seeing how utterly devastated Chico is at having talked, and especially after learning what Chico went through at Camp Omega, and that Chico is now already dead inside as a result of Paz's death. Kaz, on the other hand, I believe won't be so forgiving.

Though I also believe that there is the possibility that Snake and Kaz already figured this out by the time they rescued Chico and Paz.
