I think it will make the fights more challenging, I expect Quiet(if she is a boss) to basically kill you in one or two hits, that would be great.

I don't see boss fights without a health bar being that great. You either get killed instantly by their one shot attacks or you just heal up back to full instantly and keep trying not to get hit.
I have a feeling the health system is going to work at least a little bit differently than it did in Ground Zeroes. Kojima said something a while back about some MGS3-style survival elements returning.

And then all the vehicle mini bosses.
Exactly.
Yeah, it's what you expect in a Call of Duty game, not a freaking Metal Gear game. In Metal Gear, you're expected to go up against people who have this talent in sniping, fighting, whatever, not bland tanks and shit...If TPP is going to be good, every battle should not be tanks or helicopters...Add some humanity in there for crying out loud

He mentioned something interesting... Konami, they claim that what they're doing in Casinos are the missing piece... money, to surpass video games.

There's a topic for this already. Kojima confirmed bosses will be back, presuming humans.

Aside from a Metal Gear, I am sure the rest will be human.

I wonder how the boss battles will be? I mean they wont have health bars (presumably). And during the kojima station episode they said there would be multiple ways of defeating a boss.

Yeah, and there may be visual/audio clues as to when the boss is getting tired or about to give in.

We already have battled machines in Ground Zeroes.... armored vehicles aren't nearly as much of a threat as in Peace Walker.

Boring? So wait, you didn't have fun fighting all 85 choppers, APCs, tanks with just different skins and abilities, and all of the custom PW, Pupa, Cocoon, Chrysalis and monster hunter fights?

Because I didn't either. They got old but at first they were kinda fun and pretty challenging.

That being said, I'm excited for the human bosses this time.

okay, let's just be up front; not a single mgs boss has ever challenged our brains. the only one that will ever come remotely close to doing that was the end, or the boss.
Please elaborate because I seem to remember a certain fourth wall breaking boss battle in MGS that everyone still considers to be one of the greatest boss battles to date and how about on MGS4 in shadow moses when you face vamp and have to use the syringe or in 3 if you wanted to defeat the fear nonlethally then you could throw poisoned food on the map I dont understand why you would think kojimas boss battles arent challenging when countless others have claimed them to be some of the most creative and challenging ever and they are

Like arachnid said i think the lack of health bar is gonna hurt the battles in the long run . Also i hope the bosses are agressive like the mgs4 ones and not pasive boring and full of gimmicks like the cobra unit

Those are some pretty bad examples. The Boss certainly didn't and the End was more of an endurance challenge then an ingenuity challenge.

Vamp and Psycho Mantis come to mind, but that really depends on how much we were told through codecs. How much we were guided through what to do.

I'm hoping that the boss battles/cast of villains have more relevance to the story like the ones in MGS did. Not only were each character vital to the story, but they all had their OWN story and reasoning that was RELEVANT to the story. The Cobra Unit and B&B Corp were just kinda randomly thrown in there...and although they tried to give the B&B Corp a story, it really didn't have shit to do with Metal Gear....like Sniper Wolf being saved by Big Boss & Otacon's love for her, Psycho Mantis actually killing the Darpa Chief, Decoy actually changing the WHOLE story (although he doesnt really count as a boss fight), Vulcan Raven telling Snake it was Decoy and basically foreshadowing his life...and Ocelot is fuckin Ocelot, having a whole history with Big Boss and being a double/triple agent. And obviously Liquid

I'm hoping TPP revives that connection with it's cast of characters.
Obviously the battle with Skull Face will be deep, (Kojima better not pull no shit where we don't fight him and he dies in a cutscene)
I feel like there's a chance we may fight Psycho Mantis, which could lead to another mind fuck
Those Who Don't Exist zombies will be the FROGS/Ocelot Unit
The whole hospital experience should be traumatizing with Volgin
A sniper battle with Quiet
Would be dope & personal if there's a fight with Gray Fox as he's on another side/or thinking Big Boss is about to kill Naomi, but after the battle Big Boss recruits him
And it would be awesome if we fight Zero in a Metal Gear or some shit. But I'd still be surprised if we even see him.

I fear that kojima may pull the western dev way of never fighting the main badguy , lets be honest skullface looks like the most fragile main bad in the series, i dont see him a fighter type character

TPP would be the first MGS where i wouldn't mind not fighting a metal gear somewhere along the line.
