This is still a better and more interesting theory than anything they have come up with.

Only one thing is interesting in this video - Snake's line delivered by prisoner. I see two ways it can be interpreted:
1) It don't worth any attention since you can hear it only in side op, which status as canonical or partly caninical unknown.
2) It points to past connection between Big Boss and Skull Face.

At first I thought that Zero is their link, but now I think that both Big Boss and Skull Face were The Boss'es students in the past.

... The video takes way too long to make a point. I'm almost ten minutes in and nothing has been established. This video is some damn stupid.

Oh now that will be an interesting twist - Skull face just like BB in his adoration for the Boss (giving him reason to hate snake for killing her). Skull face teams up with Dr. Strangelove in TPP to take snake down.

Or should the whole 'the boss' story be put to bed?

Edit: Personally I'm looking for a more Zero vs. Snake story alone (with Skull face although important doesn't steal too much story) than a three way dog fight (which will be harder for audiences to focus) throughout the game.

But then again TPP may just be long and big enough to provide the latter and still create a compelling story.

Hahahahaha!!...... *breaths* But seriously though bahahahahahahah!!.....
Ok ok. Ever since i saw the whole "vapor snake" thing he made, i just didnt care for his theories. Infact the absurdity of the mgs theories that have come out have made me hate theories all together.

Its fun to speculate i understand. But to defend something thats not even factual just takes it to far.
Your better off thinking your probably way wrong from the start when your coming up with a theory and go from there.

The only point that genuinely confuses me is the damn BB's shadow. It makes no freaking sense to have a half-assed bald shadow JUST for big boss, pretty much because lightning algorithms do not care about identity of the objects according to the plot xD Sadly, no genius poster in this forum have ever answered my question. And there's a lot of genius around here.

If Skull Face & Big Boss are sharing lines cause they had the same mentor, well, you know what that means....BB met Skull Face while training under The Boss

It's probably just a lighting issue.
A botched shadow is no reason to have some bizarre theory.
There are too much of those already.

A damn weird one if you ask me. Specially if you plan to sell the engine and have all kinds of marketing stunts in the game and in trailers about the engine.

IF you look in the E3 Trailer the mesh around the horses tail is really weird and square.
They can't hide every weird texture/Mesh/Lighting issue.
Don't get me wrong it still looks great but it's got its problems.

Got it Memeorized?
You guys remember that picture Kojima posted on twitter a couple of months ago which compares Big Boss' model in GZ to that of Snake in MGS1? The GZ Snake model in that picture has a lighter beard, and his hair textures are mostly turned off. I really don't know much about this stuff, but maybe this is the model they used to render Big Boss' shadow in the game? We've already seen Big Boss with multiple hairstyles in MGSV, and I have a feeling that the player might be able to choose which one he wants to use. Maybe they just decided to use that bald model for the shadows because of that?

If it sounds stupid, then it probably is. It's just a thought I've had.

pythonselkans 30 minute gibberish can blow me hard, I know its good to speculate and all that but there's a difference between speculation and just plain bull shit plus it doesn't help that a lot of their "theories" have been proven wrong, surprised they still have subscribers left

Not really, the point is already there within the first few minutes, you're meant to realize that the guy(s) is a dumbass and watch something else before the first sixty seconds is up.

I think the whole shadow thing just adds to the effect that we are 'supposed' to find it harder to identify ourselves with BB.

We are getting ready for the next game where he will act in ways we may not be able to justify. This is also why Kojima is using a voice change, strange shadows, no bandanna. He is probably trying to gradually hint to us that BB is changing (no longer the 'normal snake').

Of course till the extreme in TPP when he eventually becomes a 'demon'.

This is not 'bizarre' and it probably makes more sense taking this view since it's understandable. He has already basically stamped it boldly that BB will not be the same guy, maybe we'll even hate him to a degree in TPP, who knows?

Skull Face don't care too much about Snake in audiotapes, because Snake just followed orders while killing The Boss, but Zero was guilty from the beginning. The Boss is more than just mentor, she is image of Mother in MGS Universe. Death of the Boss is "ground zero", starting point of all major events in MGS story.

Now I think that whole "revenge" theme will be not about Snake and Kaz killing everyone on their way, but about endless self-repeatable cycle of violence and destruction caused by their war against Skull Face/Zero and only way to break it is to refuse to strike back. As we know from MG2 - Kaz dealt with his demons after all, but Big Boss was obsessed with revenge and idea of army without nation until the end.

It maybe somehow related to the concept of Sansara from several eastern religions.

Wait...didn't Ocelot say those exact words to Snake when he's trying to convince him to give in to the torture?
I know I remember him saying there's nothing to to be ashamed of for giving in. Kojima loves to throw in nods to past MGS games. God this guy is grasping hard, but ultimately his logic is just all over the place. We're playing Grey Fox cause the bonus mission allows you to be him? Ok, what about XBOX users? They play as Raiden.
You can play as Grey Fox because MGS was a SONY only game (PC doesn't count)
This is getting ridiculous. I remember people where expecting a twist in MGS3, never happened. Then MGS4 and it never happened. Perhaps Kojima realizes that a twist loses it's value if you keep doing it, because he has yet to trick us again. Unfortunately Kojima never handled MGS like Zelda. With each new entry he has had to somehow connect it to the last. Seriously, we would have a better story, and a better game overall if we just let the dude start fresh. MGS, PW, GZ, and now TPP is finally allowing him to do that. Thank god! We may have a story that kicks as much ass as MGS's story. Oh and look there, those three MGS games are IMO the best MGS games out of the whole series. GOTP is ok, but the Boss Battles save Crying Wolf's battle were uninspired rehashes of memorable MGS battles. Not because Kojima sux, but we (his fans) suck.

I'm not talking to most of you, just the ones who can't get over the voice over change, or not being Solid Snake, or there's a twist blah blah, it doesn't seem like MG anymore...*sigh* don't buy the game then.
