kojima is incredible! how the fuck have i not seen that?!

To me the best MGS prequel is Portable OPS in terms of characterization of Big Boss as a leader. ''Im not gonna live my life like The Boss did'' sentence is better than all the bullcrap that kojima pulled with BB. Star Wars the Clone Wars CG series is the best depiction of Anakin, truly made me care for the character. Funny, both of them were made without Kojima/Lucas on full board. Portable Ops would be part of the ten years Big Boss and Anakin were off doing there own thing. Probably like that thing on the planet who's name escapes me where Obi Wan says he didn't save his ass. Its a stepping stone in Big Boss turning in to the defiant bastard he is in Peace Walker. It also kind of reminds me of Kaz saying "let's leave that crap in San Hieronymo behind". To me Kaz is Metal Gear's Obi Wan since he guides Big Boss with his wealth of knowledge even though BB is a better soldier than him. He then goes on to train Big Boss's son just like Obi Wan trains Luke. He also grows to hate Big Boss after his turn just like Obi Wan hates Vader. Zero is definitely Palpatine though.. he replaces the old order (The Philosophers) with his own order (Cipher) which later becomes known as the Patriots the same way the Republic becomes the Galactic Empire. He also secretly runs things from behind the scenes while posing to the public as a mild mannered English man. MSF are kind of like the Jedi Order in a way since they intervene in conflicts all over the world and battle against the Emporer (Zero's) secret order. Ehh, people here sometimes forget MSF is a army of mercs that fight for money, they not diferent compared to Blackwater. They are not heroes in any form. |

Yeah the MSF-Jedi comparasen was a bit of a stretch I'll admit I was just kind of throwing things out there that were similar to some degree however minor. |
