No thanks because then the Australian censorship board will ban TPP. We got R18+ ratings now and our games STILL get censored! |

Why do you care if australia bans it? Unless you live there I dont see any reason why you should haha. Games like fallout and mortal kombat have had brutal violence that is very unnecessary and yet they still get an M rating. In TPP kojima would more than likely make the gore n violence a much more real and immersive experience. He keeps talking about how he wants to show us the real experience of war and the negative emotions that heavily engage in it; so why not add more realistic gore in order to develop that concept further? To me it is a smart idea because I'm thinking that kojima wants to make us cringe quite a bit in this game (Eg: Paz and her lovely organs) |

I don't know if it needs more gore, especially of the gratuitous kind. Maybe just more realistic exit wounds and shit like that and realistic reactions like limping and stuff (already been said). It's not Soldier of Fortune so I don't really need dismemberments. In cutscenes, however, I don't mind but gameplay wise, MGS has never really been gory like that. |

I'd actually like Soldier of Fortune level of gore, though I'm not sure if it fits MGS. |

Yea it's fine in SOF because the game is supposed to be ultra violent. I just feel like if he were to put more gore and shit in MGSV then it would just be violence for the sake of violence which works in some things. Just not MGS. My 2¢ |

Of course something very excessive won't look good, I don't want Big Boss ripping arms with his bare hands, but some more lethal and gratifying CQC, with more realistic gun wounds/effects like limping etc, along with proper reaction to explosives and i'd be perfectly satisfied. I remember when a guy once suggested we should have the ability to make Big Boss force a soldier on his knee and have him suck on the gun barrel, as Big Boss goes ''suck on it like a dick'' before shooting him.

At this point, with GZ already out, a more realist approach would be interesting but improbable, i dont think Kojima is going for more realism in this department. It would be cool though. Considering a March release window.

Mortal Gear Kombat More lethal CQC would be awesome but the CQC is advancing so slow in this series. Granted, it's supposed to be a stealth game but I agree with everyone who says they want lethal and nonlethal options like Splinter Cell. That knife is absolutely brutal in Chaos Theory. They should've modeled the CQC after some Krav Maga techniques. |

That would be dope! But i will be happy if they let us use the knife freely this time around. I miss my knife, damn it! And no, we don't need more gore. I wuldn't mind more realistic damage with explosions, but i don't think it's necessary to show gratutious violence just for the heck of it like it has been mentioned before. However, i would like to see trails of blood and other soldiers noticing blood on walls and on the floor. |

Do the guards not notice the blood pools on the ground? I haven't noticed because if I murk one guard in an area, I'll usually murk another before he makes his way to his dead buddy. |

I'm all for it but to an extent, free gore for the hell of it? Im not cool with that but i FULLY support Kojima's statement about taking games to the next level just like in movies in terms of "shocking aspect" , why not?!?! And for the gore aspect, there are things that should be more realistic for example, throwing a grenade on a soldier and exploding on the body and all you see is the body fly away which is cool but I would rather it be a little more realistic such as body parts separating when there's a detonation near a body, that's just logical. |

Yeah. If TPP has a proper movie level of realistic gore then chances are TPP will be rated R18+ and censored to some degree. They are more strict on drug use and anal probes for some reason. People were complaining so they introduced the R18+ and still we get a different version to other countries. Nothing really changed except under 18's can't buy games with the same level of censorship as before! |
