From my first experience with MG, playing MGS on my Playstation all those years back, I was hooked. When MGS 2: Sons of Liberty was in development I could hardly contain my excitement for a new MGS. It's been the same for (almost) every MGS game since. So, now MGS V: The Phantom Pain is getting ever closer and I have a lot to be excited about. Some things I don't care to much about too. These are as follows: Excited for; . STORY! Without doubt, for me, MGS's story is what keeps me coming back. Some do find it confusing and therefore dislike it. It's the tangled web of interconnecting stories from lots of characters that I love . CHARACTERS! Kinda hinted at this already, but the next thing would have to be the brilliant characters. I can't wait to see the next batch of Hideo invented miss fits and freaks. Plus, hopefully a good few that we already know of from previous tittles . EQUIPMENT! The tools at your disposal have always been intriguing to me. The way you can use these tools in unconventional ways; even better . CAMO! I loved the camouflage options in MGS 3... not the integration as much (pause, camo, select face or body, change camo) NO! . NEW LOCATIONS! I cannot wait to see where MGS V takes us. We know of a few locations already. I just want to see everywhere looking amazing in its Fox engine glory! . GRAPHICS! I know, a pretty game isn't guaranteed to be good. So I'll just say this; we all love MGS games, so if we have MGS game-play AND it looks amazing too, yes please. Not excited for; . MGO (controversial) ...Now I know a lot of you guys love MGO and can't wait for the next installment but, for me it's never been what I loved about MGS and never will be. Now, contradicting myself slightly, I still keep an open mind for it. If it looks like its going to be a riot...sign me up! Saying that, I'll re-iterate, MGO has never/will never be what excites me for a Metal Gear Solid Game. That's it really. There are more things that I'm excited for, but a look at the time tells me I'm in a rush for work now lol. Not much that I'm not excited about really. So, what about you? What are you excited for the most? The least?...Is there anything that you are the opposite of excited for; that you dread to see in the new game, but think/know is in it EDIT: If this should be in the general MGSV section; my apologies

- i'm excited to know more about the Open World, and if we have a huge open-map or a different set of open areas to choose from - Excited about the storyline and how far will they go with Big Boss. i enjoyed Peace Walker but not as much as other previous MGS but Peace Walker made me care a lot about Kaz, Big Boss and Mother Base so i feel that playing Peace Walker was a great thing because it involved me emotionly and i can't wait to have my heart broken by the story and death of some characters - excited to see what's new to TPP that hasn't been introduced to GZ - VERY, very excited about MGO, like seriously |

Playing it excites me the most. But besides that, it's definitely story first for me. I've always loved the story as well, spanning half a century, espionage, plot twists and stuff like that. After that, it's gameplay, I want to see the new features that are going to be in this game and how different locales change up how you approach situations. I've said this in like three different threads but I really hope that there are cool and interesting weather effects. Make me wait until a lightning strike and a thunderclap to fire off my sniper rifle. Let me be in the jungle and use the heavy rain and fog to my advantage. Make it so that sandstorms cause enemies to travel in more tightly knitted groups so that I don't even want to mess with them unless I'm definite that I can pull off a chained CQC attack or something. I want the world to have a fully realized weather algorithm so that it's not the same every time you play the map. I don't want sandstorm A to hit every time I get into quadrant 2.. I want it to be more natural. I hope that makes sense. |

I understand JT. For me, I'm excited for a lot. Personally, this is shaping up to be one of the best MGS's in years. I'm eager for the story. Endow me with how the legend fell, who is Skull Face, etc. Secondly, gameplay. I want to see if it's actually open world. I want to experience GZ in a full game with vast environments. |

In all seriousness I'm excited to finally start seeing Big Boss do some real villainy. MGS3-PO-PW all make Big Boss so likable and a good guy, I'm hopeful that this will help bridge the gap. |

I'd also like some proof that the Fox Engine is as good as Kojima says. |

Me too dude. Can't wait too see the game at 60fps, sick of my 360 now. I'm also mostly looking forward to just flying around in the chopper to some New Order and not listening to Kaz.

lol, I imagine Kojima + 7 guys scratching their head trying to find a way to fix a big issue when it's phrased like that. |

As mentioned above, the story is just amazing...better than most movies, books, etc. that I've ever experienced. And the fact that this game may tie all ends in the original story...the way we may experience Big Boss finally corrupted, finally witness the war with Zero firsthand, and might even encounter people from the original MGS....a lot that happens during this time period is what causes the actions of MG1-2 and MGS, MGS2, and MGS4...story wise, this may be the most important chapter in MGS history...and not to mention Skull Face has SO much potential Not only that, but Ground Zeroes easily the best MGS game I have played as far as controls, mechanics, and just how smooth it runs...so I can't wait to see how TPP builds on this. I'm looking forward to see how free roaming Motherbase and constructing it is implemented in the game. |

Returned from the abyss...I guess.

Quite a few things excite me about this game but one of the biggest things is getting to play that hospital scene, I can't wait to see what's actually going on during it whether it's Snake hallucinating a majority of it or what else is happening. |

Yeah. I forgot to add this to the 'excites me' part. If this game really brings the story full circle, then that. Answering the questions of; what happens next? How exactly does bb go 'demon' on us? Did Huey betray Mother Base OR was he forced into it by Skull Face/Zero/another character? I guess this is all covered by 'THE STORY!' as in my OP but...but to be more specific, what's said above |
