i literally feel like i have no fears at this point.

if the game is like GZ albeit in a much larger scale, then i'm already sold. it's not like it's going to get better than that anyway.
PEACE will come.

Do you think it will be current gen only? I mean if this game really that huge as kojima promising, is it possible for old gen to run it properly? Just curious

It'll just probably suffer framerate issues, Loading times, etc.

It may have actually been realised. I saw in the box demonstration today that when they paused the game it was like Ground Zeroes and had 'Restart Mission'. So it seems The Phantom Pain will be in missions like Ground Zeroes. Which I was a little upset by because I was hoping there would be a more interesting way to start missions, for instance starting a mission when you arrive at a certain point in a location, rather than just selecting a mission on a menu. The presentation of the missions has not been confirmed, but sort of unsteady about that. Still have to wait and see what they deliver at e3 :)

Maybe it's an orb where you activate the mission, and it's just for you to restart it.

That is certainly possible. I won't rule it out yet, I just was kind of hoping there would be missions which required you to travel long distance, sometimes even getting on the chopper to get to different areas within the same objective. I just don't want the whole game to feel like it is in bite size parts like Peace Walker or even Metal Gear Solid 4. I think what makes Shadow Moses and so strong is the time you spend there in the game and how the environment really lingers with your gameplay experience. I never had that in MGS4 as the chapters really broke up the lasting effects of the environment.

However, even if the worst is true and it is like GZ where you select a mission on a menu, at least some of them will require you to infiltrate a hotspot in an area, much like in the E3 2013 trailer where you get on the horse and hide in the truck - The scale in The Phantom Pain should be present.

Every open-world game has the option to restart the mission..It doesn't mean the game will be like GZ where you select the missions

This game is going to be more like ARMA more than a traditional open world sandbox game like GTA or Just Cause because you're put into vast areas with many bases and you do set missions in that area.

Both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain began development for PS3/360 before next gen console dev kits were handed out, it's a PS3/360 game from start to finish, the PS4/XBone versions are just next gen ports.

Then there's the fact that a Kojima Productions guy confirmed it was for PS3, 4 and 360, XBone after the GI article that came out some months ago.

Then there's the fact that if they scrapped the PS3/360 versions now, they'd be tossing away any money they spent working on it, not to mention they'd be sacrificing a large majority of where the profits will come from seeing as there are still more PS3/360 owners than there are PS4/One owners.

It's practically impossible for Phantom Pain to be a next gen only title at this point.

It isn't another Peace Walker. If they try to make it a better free world "Peace Walker" then I will never forgive kojima. I won't rike it one bit.

Yup. Nailed it! Kojima himself stated he was working on Ground Zeroes as soon as he finished Peace Walker.

Only me

Restart mission is a thing with tons of open world games, so yeah that doesn't mean much. Also yes I definitely agree with the content, a big game is great and i'm hyped for a proper open world, but also populate it with content and activity so it feels alive. If this game really is very large scale, I think an average of say...15 side ops and 7 side missions *as in narrative missions* sounds good? with maybe a few random activities going on in the map that you can come across.

Yeah, I'm kind of worried about the life. Besides Easter Eggs, I'm worried Kojima's vast environment will be lifeless.

As long as there are vegetation and lots of rats, birds, horses, sheeps and other animals i can't see no problem with a lifeless environment. In this case i trust Koji pro.

Nothing shown so far has given good reason to hype the game (based on gameplay itself). I feel we need more context to the story in the next trailer, but not too much to ruin the experience (like GZ, which led to the failure of GZ imo).

My only fear for TPP is not being able unlock fun weapons like the solar gun or something. Its not really a fear, I don't care if its in or not.

Ummmm Ground Zeroes did a good job of demonstrating the gameplay. Just the thought of Ground Zeroes gameplay in an open world environment gets me excited.
