Influences; Works that will influence TPP

So, we all know that Kojima takes inspiration from other works. In TPP, this is obvious with Moby Dick and the Bible. What other works do you think will influence? Possibilities such as Blood Diamond?

I'm thinking Jurassic Park, because there will be dinosaurs.

I'm certain that Escape from New York will get a plethora of references this time around.

I also think the Pusher trilogy will be an influence, which I say because of the game's cinematography as well as Kojima being a fan of those movies.

"1984" will probably have some influence in the game.

I really doubt 007, considering that's essentially MGS3 with its OTT and silly moments. This game is going to be more serious.

1984 and MD.

Bizarrely, I think Godzilla will have an influence on TPP. Stay with me...

If you follow Kojima on Twitter, you'll notice that he constantly watches and buys different Godzilla films, books and what not. Godzilla as a character, in essence, can be seen in 2 different ways depending on your perspective - with some seeing him as a savior and others seeing him as a monster. Kojima has already hinted at this being the case with BB (which also links nicely to the theme of perception from Moby Dick) and I think ultimately at the end of TPP fans will be divided in opinion. Some will see him as a monster while others will see reasons behind his actions.

I was watching Rambo III yesterday and decided to search for some synopsis , after a while I found this :

''However, when Colonel Trautman is kidnapped by the Russians on the border of Afghanistan, and the U.S. government is unable to act officially, Rambo decides to act at his own risk. This time is for his friend.''

So let me translate this for you......

However, when Kaz is kidnapped by the Russians on the border of Afghanistan, and the U.S. government is unable to act officially, Snake decides to act at his own risk. This time is for his friend.

Nice one although it's more likely that by the events of TPP Big Boss doesn't really care about any government and works on his own.

I've just rewatched Blood Diamond and it's indeed very similar to what we know about the African sequence of TPP. Child soldiers, diamond mines, there's even a Rhodesian Ridgeback in one episode, the same dog breed as on the Diamond Dogs emblem. Ironically, there's also a minor character called "Commander Zero".

In other words, you should really watch it, a great movie by itself, but it's even more interesting in terms of MGS5.

Judging by the new trailer, The Evil Dead trilogy.
You too have known loss, and that loss torments you still. You hope hatred might someday replace the pain, but it never goes away.
