Watching the trailer again, something caught my attention about BB and Diamond Dogs. A scene shown of BB and Kaz in the chopper, most likely right after rescuing Kaz, shows him saying something to BB before adjusting the jacket draped over him, emphasizing the DD emblem as the camera zooms in on it. Perhaps Kaz is introducing Boss to Diamond Dogs, a PMC that Kaz himself founded in replacement of MSF during the 9 years Boss was in his coma.

This possibility points to a plot point about the scenes we see of Boss shooting DD soldiers who appear to be attempting to restrain him, and a scene of a DD soldier aiming at Boss from a chopper with a laser pointer. As we know, Kaz and Boss part ways as something much less than friends (as is apparent by Kaz's later labeling of BB as a monster to Solid Snake). Perhaps instead of BB going batshit and killing his own men, we are seeing scenes of when this rift between Kaz and BB rips open. Maybe Kaz as turning on BB, and those are scenes of BB escaping imprisonment by Kaz and Diamond Dogs (hence the alarms that are sounding in the back ground). Even more, this could lead to BB and Skullface teaming up, who may approach Boss as his last possibly ally after these events, and leading to BB and SF to create Outer Heaven together.

Just a thought that popped into my head while watching. What do you guys think?

The only issue is, why does BB have Diamond Dogs gear?
That and turning the ashes to Diamonds was BB's idea aswell.

Look closely at how those soldiers are behaving. It's like they're drunk or being controlled (Psycho Mantis?) especially the soldier's head he blows off. And if you look closely at the eyes of the soldier aiming at Big Boss, they're feminine, that's Quiet. She probably stole a uniform after she attacked those soldiers and remember she's a sniper.

I like the theory of him and Kaz fighting each other though. I don't feel that's the case however.

I would like to see what starts splitting them apart, but I'd be concerned as to how that affects their relationship when they're both in FOXHOUND in the 90s. Miller was apparently combat instructor at the time Big Boss had resumed command.

Those are very good points, and it would explain the stumbling way the fourth soldier was stumbling about. Perhaps instead Cipher attacks Diamond Dogs using a foxhound group. That occurring would bring out Zero as more villainous as people have been wanting. And thanks for pointing that out about the eyes, the quality on the youtube video I watched of the trailer wasnt high enough for me to notice.

Plus the way BB turns away pointing his gun just after he shoots the fourth soldier looks so goofy. Not to mention the soldier just staggering around before getting shot. Definitely something fishy going on.
PEACE will come.

Hmmm, well after listening to the secret tape of Peace Walker, maybe even Big Boss finds out about who Kaz as been in contact with. Which could then explain why he is then siding with Skullface who still seems to be opposed of Zero.

Nah man… re-watch the trailer. Kaz is definitely in a subordinate position to Big Boss - when Big Boss puts the ashes on his face, etc… Big Boss is definitely in control, Kaz even asks him what's going on, as if Kaz didn't order Big Boss. I don't think Big Boss at this stage in the game is going to be a subordinate, unless it's under Zero.

Even if Kaz started Diamond Dogs, it seems that Big Boss assumed control since Kaz was missing in action in Afghanistan… I don't think Kaz would be arguing with Big Boss over who's commander, especially after Big Boss rescued him.

Diamond Dogs is MSF's successor and Kaz leads it as Big Boss is incapacitated at the time. Once he reawakens, Kaz goes back to being number 2. At least on the surface he does.

Kaz is the original leader of Diamond Dogs and after being rescued by Big Boss he tells him all about it and Big Boss takes over with Kaz as his second in command. That scene in the chopper is most likely when he says "You see this? Diamond Dogs, our new home"

That's a pretty good theory, I hope you're right.

Still Miller seemed to be in good terms with Snake during the trailer, but something that caught my attention is that Ground Zeroes poster is about Big Boss and Kaz, now it's about Big Boss and Ocelot. It seems that Ocelot will become Big Boss new bff while Miller goes out of the picture.

Also this would give room for building Outer Heaven during the game instead of spending the whole time game in Mother Base 2.0.

I just realised that Big Boss is wearing a Diamond Dogs patch when he's on horseback with Ocelot so I'm thinking it was Ocelot and Kaz who set up Diamond Dogs and later make BB the leader cause they're both in love with him.

For some reason I just can't see Ocelot and Kaz just naturally being comrades. I mean without Big Boss in the picture, I don't think Ocelot would associate with Miller at all. Unless Ocelot is still working for/with Zero in which case it would make sense that Kaz and him would be hanging out. ya know cuz kaz is a traitorous dog.

You never know with Ocelot. The dude is like a quadruple agent or something. I can definitely agree with the theory of Kaz starting diamond dogs while BB is in his coma. However, the scene where BB shoots his own men definitely reeks of Psycho Mantis. It's like they're not even putting up a fight, considering they've all been trained in CQC.

A personal theory of mine is that Kaz starts to distrust BB after he teams up with skullface. Maybe BB is so focused on getting to Zero that he lost track of his original ideals that Kaz shared.

I think it's great theory and considering some of the weirder theories that get posted on these forums, it's one which is interesting to think about.

True. Much better than the ridiculous body double theories.
