If we can't use real life comparisons in our discussions, then we will end up being able to say anything.
But I'm not saying we can't use real life comparisons. I'm saying that we cannot state anything as true or more valid than other things regarding MG just because an analog case in real life seems to validate it or because 'it sounds implausible'. Which seems to be the general problem around here. People here are dicks toward others because they think their arguments, since sound logical or in real life they are 'obvious', must be true. But it just isn't.

I'd rather use actual real life information - for what is an ostensibly supposed to be the real world - than something I would never consider because it was just made up.

For example, Big Boss gains weight within days. The "obvious" answer is that he didn't, we just don't know how long the gap is between the hospital and Afghanistan. Or he had some kind of injection that did the same job in days. I would rather say the obvious, because it's the sensible answer.

And if there is some kind of all powerful injection...why didn't the doctors use it already? "Because only certain people have access to it" or some other reason that complicates the matter more than it is.

And given that, they are not all identical

Solid Snake = Young Big Boss
Solidus Snake = Perfect copy of Big Boss
Liquid Snake = Non-Big Boss appearance
Non-Big Boss appearance? He seems to have dark roots (indicating his hair was indeed bleached by the sun) and the same colour eyes. And his model was identical to Solid's but for different colour hair.
Yeah, but we all knew Liquid wanted to surpass Big Boss or be a better Big Boss. When you basic his appearance, he is not really anything like Big Boss really...That's how I see it. Obviously there are small similarities

He mentioned something interesting... Konami, they claim that what they're doing in Casinos are the missing piece... money, to surpass video games.

:D You don't seem to get it.

You can use, if you like, your childhood experiences that you gathered in Disney movies or while you were playing in the dirt, or something you learned from college or the extensive research you have done in your PhD or whatever, to argument something. But neither of that gives your argument more value over other arguments regarding a fictional topic. Specially MG where science is plain wrong, there's little consistency due to story changes, gameplay, etc. You can talk about whatever you believe everyday but stating that what you say is true is wrong. Your preferences are irrelevant.

I hope NOW you get it.

Suspension of disbelief, didn't you read it? We weren't saying that there was a magical injection that made BB fit again and that it needs to be considered as a distinct element to be referenced again in the future (as the powerful fitness-recovery injection) and complicate matters more . In fact, it's the people that need an explicit explanation for insignificant details that overcomplicate matters... Like you.
We were saying that if BB wakes up from the coma and then he's looking for Miller, with a subtle hint that BB didn't have the proper rest, we won't be mad because it's not realistic. Few things are in this saga.

If Eli is blonde, will we see a blonde and young Solid Snake in TPP (if it makes any appearence, obviously xD)? Will the briefing tapes in MGS1 be ignored?

I feel like even the story surrounding the Snakes' hair color is confusing. Are they both natural blonde or dark-haired?

My preferences? What I believe? You've lost me. This started when I made a passing comment about FOXDIE and you didn't like it. I wasn't stating my opinion. I thought we were speaking about how to discuss it, not actually discussing it. I haven't even really said anything but make a joke about Eli having dark roots.

I need insignificant details explained!? :lmao: Where do you get that from? I have never ask for anything and I have enough trouble speaking about the stuff that does exist, so I'm not going to be adding other crap to it.

I always thought it would be funny to make Solid blonde and Liquid brown but that they ended up dying their hair. Best twist ever :thumb:

But if you don't ignore the tapes; then you're ignoring Metal Gear 1 & 2.
Also the fact those whole briefing tapes are in that sepia tint.
And that Big Boss had dark hair.
And that in the Twin Snakes they fixed it to have dark hair.

I already posted an answer like that that it was based from Solid Snake's earlier artworks which he has a blonde hair instead of brown and they seem to be very lazy to replace the hair color in briefing tapes.
