"Alternative" theory based on default story uniforms.; Bear with me on this!

I have an "alternative" order of events. Not something I believe but have been considering because I don't want to get stuck onto what I think it is - but what could be. You'd have to keep in mind one "rule" over it though - the camo/uniform BB wears is consistent with the order of events. Meaning, it's the default "story" outfits, regardless if we get to choose what we wear in the game. So with this in mind...

Snake wearing desert camo WITH scarf:

1. Ocelot/BB on horseback. Goggles and scarves on. "Now go!" etc etc.

2. Rescue Kaz mission begins.

Now bear with me on this next part. Remember the reports that said Ocelot mentions this might be their last chance on revenge on those who destroyed MSF? Well...

3. BB and Skullface meet, they go to the place where the Metal Gear is stored. Things happen. BB goes to resume rescue of Kaz but finds someone else there...

4. BB finds Huey. I don't think this is the same place Ocelot and Kaz interrogate him at (MB). I think this might be a different place in Afghanistan, the same place as the scene in '13 E3 trailer where Huey's name and description is shown, with his hands outstretched. I think he might be "presenting" his latest work, either the Metal Gear at the end of the new trailer, or the small one at the end of last year's. Either way, things happen and BB ends up putting a bag over his head and perhaps takes him outside to fulton him back to MB.

Note: If we connect Huey to the Metal Gear, then perhaps BB starts suspecting Huey right then and there when he finds him. Asks him why he's making a Metal Gear for XOF, maybe Huey gets a little shifty, so BB just bags and tags him, sends him to MB for interrogation. Also, this scene might come before the scene with BB and Skullface together.

5. BB finds Kaz. Takes him back to helicopter. During the helicopter ride back, BB removes the scarf since he doesn't have it in the following scene.

From this point, BB's wearing the desert camo still, but without the scarf:

6. BB/Kaz make it back to MB. Scene with "We pull in money, recruits..." and walking away from helicopter. (No scarf)

7. This is where the theory gets ...questionable... in the new trailer there's a scene with Kaz on a stretcher, given oxygen and being wheeled away. In this scene, you'd think it's almost exactly after BB walks Kaz away from the helicopter on MB, but in this scene BB is wearing the olive drab. It could go either way, player chosen uniforms, or there's a small lapse in time between these two scenes and BB changes uniforms to his "DD" olive drab. Hmm.

8. Back to Afghanistan. Scenes with BB "shooting" children in cell. Scene with BB getting on small Metal Gear like mech. Both have no scarf.

9. BB brings the children back. Kaz hits kid with cane. A second issue arises here because BB is wearing the scarf.

10. Everything after this is BB wearing olive drab. The burned village looking place, BB screaming with larger horn, MB scenes, BB vs Eli, funeral, burial on ... face scene, BB shooting DDs at the end...all olive drab.

My belief is that we're going to be able to choose our skins, which is likely with the different skins available in GZ. However, sometimes there's a "default" skin, based on the story at the time, and it could be a clue to unravelling what we can.

What do you guys think?

i thought about the whole uniform thing but the scene with skull face and him could easily be a mission where you have to head back to Afghanistan later in the game

Ha, as long as he doesn't flame me too hard :P . I expected a bit of heat when posting it - I ate a cookie as a reward for my bravery. It's good. White macadamia nut. My favorite.

Someone pointed out that the scene where Kaz is hitting the little kid with his crutch shows Big Boss with the scarf in the regular version and without it in the 60fps version. So I wouldn't take too much stock in his attire.

Got it Memeorized?
Are you the one who came up with the theory, or just read it from another forum and posted it here?

I came up with it. I just kinda noticed that within all the trailers, there seems to be a certain intended look for Snake in different areas, thought it might work. I don't think it does in the end (because of player chosen uniforms), but it did make me wonder if we meet Skullface/Huey in Afghanistan.

Actually what's funny is I posted this a little before Yong's recent trailer analysis. While his analysis is his (or...what he got from various forums, probably) it does help this theory a little. Such as the scene with BB/Skullface. He points out it's probably in Afghanistan.

Ocelot mentions in the beginning of the Kaz mission that it might be their last chance to find those responsible for the destruction of MSF. At this point, I'll say it's my current belief that Kaz went in to find these guys (XOF/Skullface), got caught, Skullface killed everyone but Miller. Then he's the one who dismembered him, and left him there because he found out Big Boss woke up from a coma and would come rescue Kaz. He leaves Kaz alive as bait, and at some point finds Snake and that's when they meet. I think there's a lot more to the Kaz mission than just rescuing him. I think the mission will be different "stages" since Afghanistan is such a big place. So basically, the mission begins as "Find Kaz" but starts with gathering intel (as reported from the E3 press gameplay demo). When Ocelot says Snake needs to "save Miller" it isn't like "Oh he's over there, go get him". It will probably be a few missions in Afghanistan before we actually get to the mission of rescuing him and the 2013 E3 trailer scene ensues. It was not just one long shot of gameplay to Miller - there was cuts here and there. Just some thoughts.

I'm sure the player will be able to customize bb's attire. I'm sure he will still be wearing whatever you picked out for him in the cut scenes as well.

Yep, I noticed too. I'm sure the scene was just using whatever was chosen. I guess it's a difference between the E3 cut and the extended? Either way, I'm not taking it too seriously - just an observation.
