Exactly what Max said, TLoU's AI were PUNISHING if you got caught. MGS guards haven't been that punishing since 2. Edited by Spizz, Jun 19 2014, 11:31:44 PM.

Having to carry them to an LZ for extraction worked...In Ground Zeroes...where the map size is significantly smaller and there's an LZ close to every point of the map and the only thing you had to extract were soldiers and POW's. Now tell me, how exactly would only having an LZ extraction work in a bigger map with the LZ's being pretty far away? You going to carry two dozen soldiers and a POW up there one at a time? Sure you could toss them in a jeep, but those can only carry three people at a time, that's eight trips to the LZ from the location where the guards are and back. And sure, you could strap jeeps to the chopper to extract them, but how would you get those big crates out? Or the APC's and large trucks? Or the AA guns? Or anything else that can't be picked up and moved to the LZ? And what if the nearest LZ is so far away that the guys you knocked out end up waking up by the time you make the trip there and back? The fulton balloon is there for the players convenience and is needed for the base building aspects to work, and they cost GMP to use so it's not like you have an infinite amount of them as not every single player is going to have a million GMP right at the start of the game. And there's always the possibility that you can put self imposed limitations on its usage, like you could only use the balloons for vehicles, AA guns and crates, but carry soldiers and POW's to the chopper instead of fultoning them out. The other soldiers being oblivious to it is also for the players convenience, since you'll be fultoning a lot of people/things, having people see it every five seconds and then having to wait for them to resume their normal patrol would be tedious as all hell. But yeah, I do agree that the enemy AI leaves a bit to be desired, but like someone previously said, the AI was most likely dumbed down for the gameplay presentation, the AI of the final game may end up being better, and of course there's always higher difficulties.
There's no reason to change how boss battles work, just because the gameplay is more realistic doesn't mean bosses can no longer be bullet sponges. And really, people complaining about the graphics not looking pretty need to GTFO, pretty sure we all knew from the start that the final game wouldn't look as good as it did in the trailers, and really, graphics shouldn't be a main selling point for anyone, games are meant to be played, not looked at, it shouldn't matter if it had MGS1 graphics if the gameplay is good. |

We really don't know how dumb the AI will be in TPP from the little bit of gameplay we've seen at this point. The difficulty settings could easily change everything, and it's not like this gameplay demo is the final version of the game. |

I was think of burial at sea when I said Bioshock I played it as a stealth game ![]() In Thief you could be right in front of the guard without being noticed and TLOU had the same problem!! I not talking about after being detected because we didn't see that in this demo but based on GZ, they need to work on it

There is always the occasional slip up in a stealth game when a bug or glitch happens and an AI doesn't notice you, but TLoU's AI was consistent, and the harder the difficulty, the minute they spot you they immediately go into alert. To put it simply, if you engage with the AI in TLoU, if you don't die you're going to come up injured and short on supplies from one aspect or another. KoRn@ again my problem isn't with Fulton as much as it is how its implemented. They could make an interesting gameplay dynamic going on here if they utilize both LZ and fulton, but doesn't look like that'll happen. They got make the LZ thing a bit closer to balance things out. |

Wait until the general public starts picking up on that, they're going to have a field day. They were probably getting bored now that Watch_Dogs has cooled down a bit. |

And? You do know that even if it was next gen only, the final product still wouldn't look as good as the trailers right? Being next gen only doesn't mean you're going to get the super high end graphics that the trailers show. |

This thing about the graphics is silly. The latest footage is set during a different time of the day, includes a sandstorm and more particle/atmosphere effects than what we've seen before. There's no downgrading in graphics; you only have to look closer at the later frames in the demo to realise that. As far as Big Boss not talking as much - I actually like it because it fits the story. He just came out of coma and pretty much lost a big chunk of his life. It's going to take him some time to adjust to life once again and you can see that on his face in the cut scene. It would be pretty weird if after all of the crap that's happened to him, he woke up and just just started rambling on and on. It feels natural for him to be a bit quiet... I would imagine he starts talking more and more as the game goes on. |

I agree. There's not really much for him to say in this scene. I kind of like it. If I came out of a 9 year coma and was forced into a mission to rescue my dying best friend, id probably be pretty reserved as well. |

Speechless I mean. My thoughts would be going crazy though. Id be thinking "wtf happened? Wtf is going on? What have I missed? Why is this happening? Everyone wants me dead..shit." Not to mention one of the last things he saw before his coma was the destruction of his "country" and the death of most of his men. |

I love the music at the beginning with Ocelot. Beautiful, but sweet moment with him. That's how cutscenes should be in this game. Good, but to the point. |

I think it's a little too ridiculous that you can Fulton, guys scream, and other guards don't notice Graphics may have been downgraded a bit, but overall it still looks pretty stunning. I don't think people will complain. Watch Dogs went from looking pretty stunning to bland. TPP looks like it went from stunning to slightly less stunning Edited by senorroboto2k5, Jun 20 2014, 01:00:31 AM.

I really loved the music in that scene too... I think they're doing an amazing job with the soundtrack in this game. MGS music is always great but the music in TPP (and in GZ) feels perfect. |

I thought of this while watching the presentation. That little tid bit of music while the scene pans over a vast Afghanistan. .epic. I really like Ocelot's character at this point, too. |

Ocelot offers BB canteen. BB has difficulty grabbing it with his new hand. Ocelot offers BB Kaz's sunglasses. BB quuckly grabs the thin, delicate frames with two fingers with no problems. MGS logic. |
