Natural selection will not remove ignorance from future generations.

Not really. $30/$45 is lunch to me, but that doesn't mean that it's okay to charge people that much for content that can be completed in literally 2-3 minutes.

Got it Memeorized?
|
Stop using the "game can be finished in 5 minutes" argument, since that is only valid for people who already know the game inside out. Oh and that's strictly the main mission of course. |

1) Stop eating diamonds for lunch. 2) Ground Zeroes has a minimum of 5 hours content, no question about that anymore. |

Yeeep. People that don't allow themselves to be immersed really shouldn't bother with this game. |

That gameplay demonstration was amazing. Every new piece of information on this game just makes me more hyped for it. The only real concern I still have is how the alert phase will work. I still prefer the old system from MGS2/3 where enemy soldiers were required to radio in before triggering an alert, rather than having the entire area go on full alert moments after being spotted. Considering Kojima's emphasis on making MGSV a "real stealth simulation," this is very odd. Instant alerts and reflex mode are far more gamey than the more logical system of having guards use their radio. |

Nah, I bought a game from one of my favorite developers. Anyway, GZ does have replayablity with time attacks and stuff that I liked from Peace Walker; I just don't like that the main story mission is so short. There are people that buy these games just for that. His idea of "realistic" is being able to see all of your weapons hanging off of your body. Edited by Fox, Jun 21 2014, 03:40:13 PM.

You're trying to blanket value entertainment. It's impossible. Move on. Some will feel it's worth the price of admission, others won't. Who cares? Ground Zeroes has sold at least a million physical copies, so maybe the folks at Konami know something that you don't. (Personally, I'm a Metal Gear enthusiast first - gamer second, and would take a release like Ground Zeroes anyday over anything from any other franchise, whether it had more of what people think of as "on the surface" content or not. That's just me, though.) I mean, in your very post, you say that $30-45 is lunch for you. Do you think that's the case for most people? Probably not. TL;DR: SHOCKING. We all value things differently. |

The problem is that the new alert system seems built with reflex mode in mind... which should really be turned off because it makes getting spotted to easy, and gets you a better score anyway The new system is just far more artificial and less satisfying. There was so much you could do with the old radio alerts - shoot the radio to prevent them calling for backup, use a chaff grenade, kill/subdue the guard before they can retreat... and you did any of these things while they were in the middle of calling, then it wouldn't trigger an alert but the enemy would still know something is up and send in a search team, meaning you had to hide the body and hide/retreat. It made gameplay more interesting and dynamic. Also, on Fulton recovery - I'm glad it's a returning feature, since dragging soldiers to the chopper would be... well, a drag after 100th time. I just wish it was less overpowered than in Peace Walker. Using Fulton should cause nearby guards to become suspicious if you use it within earshot and cause them to investigate, so that it's better to clear an area completely or hide bodies rather than just using Fulton on everyone you see. Hopefully they'll introduce something to make it a bit more balanced, since right now it's an effective way of clearing bodies when it should really just be for recruitment.
