Phrase it however you want but the truth is you people want an easier game. There's nothing at all better about being streamlined. |

Haha. Yeah, you know that canteen Ocelot gives him in the beginning? Well, it's an actual item in the game and you must use it or else Big Boss could die of hydration. Realism. Don't forget to find one of those dumpsters with water in it that Quiet gets dunked in so you can refill your canteen after 4 gulps (12 sips). |

Yeah, we should totally go back to the old keycard system form Metal Gear 1. Putting all of the keycards into one item is shitty. Totally. |

Difference being that switching cards isn't hard, just annoying. A better example would be the AI noticing footprints, or having to make regular calls to HQ, or dogs being able to smell you from afar...I wonder for what reason they disappeared in GZ - certainly not anything to do with being rushed or unpolished. |

Oh ok. Thanks for reading my mind and telling me what I want! Actually, GZ is not an easy game if you play with godmode turned off. Perhaps some people, for some inexplicable reason, would just like something different. I mean, if you want to play the same game every time a new metal gear comes out, then just play MGS1 or 2 over and over again. What's the difference? |

Easy games are fun but they have certain limit when it starts to repeat itself too much to become boring. And since when MGS has been easy game (not counting PW)? |

Kirby would be the first game I think of when it comes to fun and easy gaming. It's meant to be a beginners' platformer. MGS, however, has not been built on being a beginners' stealth game. The genre specifically really shouldn't have anything of the sort; the amount of satisfaction comes from being more clever than the game and the AI in it. If the AI is too dumb to climb ledges, or to sprint, and you're given very OP mechanics to work with, what point is there in calling it a stealth game? It was a mistake to make 4 more FPS friendly but even then there was much more to deter the playstyle between stress and much more enemies spawning at once, etc. |

I agree with you but since MGS is story driven so it should be balanced between easy and challenging. But also it should include a hardcore mode for the hardcore fan

MGS series has always been pretty easy just to beat the game (It is progressively getting easier), usually it's more of a challenge of how far you can perfect it. It's not an MGS thing to be hard, it's about getting caught up in the situation. I've always associated MGS to be more of an Action than pure Stealth game (Would a real stealth game really include all the action sequences?). It's trying to setup gameplay to feel cinematic, or atleast I think that's what I think the series Director is going for. |

Yeah MGS was always easy but only if you just play through it without going for S ranks or other challenges. I mean look at these guys playthroughs (Dred, Revolver_Fox, Perfect Stealth and others). You can't tell me that's easy, it's perfection and hard work playing a MGS game on that way. This is how it should be imo! |

Honestly, I have a harder time with GZ on hard than I have with any other Metal Gear on the hard setting. I guess Boxman is too pr0 for us guys. |

I can make any game hard if we want to go by ''BUT THE CHALLENGE IS IN THE S RANKS!'' I don't agree with Boxman or Blindwolf on many things, but this is a poor excuse for lack of base challenge. |

I don't really see the point with buying a game just to play through it once without even trying to push it to the limits. If there is going to be some kind of in-game challenges, of course I try to achieve them to see if I had learned the game system to achieve such things - for example S rank. I can't say that I achieve them without trying. And finally getting them is more satisfying than play the game once and move to the next one. |

To be honest stealth games simply need to follow the Max Payne philosophy. Max Payne 3 for example, has some brutal extra challenges *New York Minute and NYM Hardcore*, but the base game itself is challenging. That's how stealth games should be, it should be a satisfying challenge and if they are there, extra challenges are a very welcome addition. |

@BigBadass - I'm not overprotective of anything. I'm pointing out the flaw in your idea. You are saying we should be able to tag enemies, so they don't get removed from the world until the end. Because it's too easy to clear the world of enemies. I get that. But it doesn't work. The idea only works if the soldier stays in the same place for the whole mission. And that cannot happen. Because by the time you finish the mission they will have already woke up (either on their own or by getting found). So you would never recruit anyone. It defeats the point. You might as well not tag them and save GMP. Looking for an intruder where? If you're a soldier and you suddenly wake up, you would have no clue where the person who did it was. You'd go back to patrolling the area you were guarding in the first place. The only way is to limit the use like in PW. |

Having too much different difficulty settings is starts to get annoying in the end. I don't know what those NYM or NYM Hardcore is (you might want to clear it up a little bit if it's not difficulty level) but imo games should focus more on having a jump between difficulty levels instead of just making some things little harder step by step. MGS4 is great example of difficulties poorly done since they could have easily removed Naked Normal difficulty and stick with 4. Ground Zeroes on the other hand has greatly done the difficulty difference and even after getting S rank on everything in normal, hard can't be taken as a joke and offers more challenge than having unnecessary difficulty settings. |
