Draw Distance in Ground Zeroes.. Please improve it for The Phantom Pain.; Draw distance is really distracting and ruins immersion.

Ground Zeroes was a short but a fun taste into what to expect when The Phantom Pain arrives in 2015 but the one thing that ruins the game's immersion is the draw distance.

In a huge open world game that The Phantom Pain will be, draw distance will make an even bigger impact on the game's immersion.

I've played through Ground Zeroes a bunch of times and the main campaign mission is great expecially because the draw distance is not to noticeable probably because it's set during the night but missions like 'Eliminate The Renegade Threat' the draw distance is very noticeable during the day.

Foilage slowly popping in the closer you get to it which is not too bad but still kinda of an annoyance but whats more annoying than foliage is when enemy soldiers pop in from a distance especially when using a sniper rifle or binoculars.

When not just objects but people pop into the scene that's when it gets really annoying and breaks the immersion and experience.

I remember trying to snipe the Glaz in the watch tower and as I slowly zoomed with my sniper rifle at first there was no one to be scene but as I zoom in closer the enemies suddenly pop/ spawn into the scene like ghosts.. which really annoyed me.

If you don't know what draw distance is, its how close things in the gaming world appear i.e. draw themselves into the game.

Watch this game play video of the mission Eliminate The Renegade Threat and you will certainly notice all the pop in.

I hope that Kojima Productions fix or improves the draw distance for The Phantom Pain.
I'm clearly not the only one that feels this way... noticed a few other forums talking about the same thing such as
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/739463-metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes/68845077, http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/739463-metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes/69021157

Please improve the draw distance!

I couldn't care less about the scenery, but guards should be visible at any distance for the purposes of gameplay. As far as immersion goes, though, the pop-ins don't bother me at all. I don't even notice them unless I'm looking out for them and I'd much rather have pop-ins than a choppy framerate.

Sadly, it seems that you issue is falling in deaf ears because in that image, the draw distance looks pretty shit.

Got it Memeorized?
It's certainly an aspect that I hope gets improved by the time the game rolls out, but I doubt they'll fix it. Not much at least. It does not seem to be a major concern for them, and I can live with it.

Yeah, I can live with it. I'll be too busy looking around for enemies and being stealthy to notice the difference. What it lacks in detail it makes up for in gameplay and atmosphere, imo

As enjoying to snipe enemy soldiers i really hope they improve the drawing distance, it can be pretty hard to spot enemies from far away especially when they are invisible expect when zooming in... And that's a slow way of scanning throught the whole enemy base.

I'm not a graphics whore but draw distance is something that can always be improved.

Eh, I wish they would/could fix it.
Looks pretty noticeable now that PS4 games are here.

yeah its bad, but i think its necessary for 60 fps. we need more console games that are 60 fps!

60fps is not needed in slow paced games like this one, this not an action game like God of war or DMC.
I would prefer a higher detailed game at 30fps(stable).

It important for soldiers and explosive barrels but otherwise I would never notice it.

@Bladewolf

That's a shitty image to try to demonstrate the draw distance. Because the viewpoint is at the edge of a mountainside obstructing all the middle-range area (the area that actually matters) all you can judge is the short range and long range. Everything is either close enough for the scenery to be showing or way too far away where it shouldn't be using system resources (for performance reasons). To call the draw distance shitty on this image alone is like calling GTA fake because the whole map isn't actively being fully rendered at all times, it's just an impossible feat with current hardware. (For the record I do agree the draw distance is pretty terrible)

Eh, I'd take performance over graphics anyday, besides the draw distance and a few oddities here and there I think MGSV looks fine.
The fact it's 1080p and 60fps already seals the deal for me.

I have to confess, with The. Phantom Pain being on both PS3 & PS4, I can accept such flaws in the PS3 version, but the PS4 version should be able to handle it MUCH better. It's pretty bad when you're using a scope to see all these blurry textures from the distance pop in. I played the PS3 version of Ground Zeroes, but intend to buy a PS4 for The Phantom Pain, in doing so, I want it to be worth my while.

The issue is that being cross gen they have to take some hits graphically cause they have to make the game with both systems in mind, which ends up hurting it on higher systems.
It's the kinda thing PC players have been complaining about for years.

I personally think they should never have gone for the last-gen systems. I have a feeling the sales will be:

1. PS4
2. XBone
3. PS3
4. X360

But yes, I know it was initially planned solely for last-gen, but still. It's time to let go of the past and let the new systems shine.

Yes, but I had no issue with the graphics, they looked stunning I last nights presentation. But as the hardware is much better, such limitations as draw distance shouldn't be present, if the game offers you a scope, it should be able,to handle it.

Well, yeah. It's not a deal-breaker.

It's not good, but it won't make me cancel my pre-order.
