Draw Distance in Ground Zeroes.. Please improve it for The Phantom Pain.; Draw distance is really distracting and ruins immersion.

I don't think it "looks fine". It's kinda like saying Watch_Dogs PS4 release "looks fine". It doesn't.

As consumers it's up to us to put pressure on the developers and, in a way, it doesn't help anyone with rampant fanboyism and putting on a blindfold to apparent issues with the product.

Oh it's by no means a deal breaker... but I for instance will be buying a Playstation 4 for this game. I don't mind if the graphics are not as amazing as other PS4 games - Even though to be honest, they are stunning from the trailers so far. But the main thing is if I am choosing to buy a PS4 to experience this game, I reckon it should be able to handle things like draw distance. When I look through a scope, I don't want to see a blurry mess slowly pop-in to detail. I do expect it to be present.

I agree, but wouldn't 40 or 50 FPS and a way better draw distance be better? IIRC, draw distance doesn't have a really large impact on performance, so 50 FPS should be doable. IMO, the difference between 50/60 FPS is negligible, especially in a slow paced game like MGS.

Frankly? This was exactly what I was expecting from a graphical standpoint, but I was hoping for improvements.

I know that the game isn't released yet, so it might get better (but probably won't), but expectations != hopes.

From a gameplay point of view my mind is blown, but it's by no means looking perfect and no one will gain anything from the fans pretending that things are.

All of this can make for a decent discussion that lasts 1 or 2 pages, but in all honestly it's just pissing in the wind.

If the draw distance (of all things that are unimportant) could be better, then they'd probably improve on it.

I've planned on playing this on PS3 the whole time, so I guess I've long since come to terms with the fact that I'll have to suffice with the lesser graphical quality. :P Texture quality and draw distance and so on are by far my smallest concerns about the game - as far as graphics go, I'm far more concerned with animations.

The draw distance annoyed me a bit playing this, honestly. If they could fix it that would be great, but it's no deal breaker if they don't.

2. XBone
3. PS3
4. X360

But yes, I know it was initially planned solely for last-gen, but still. It's time to let go of the past and let the new systems shine.
you think this game will sell more current-gen than the last-gen versions? i find it to be an interesting claim nonetheless.

Maybe so, I'm not sure though.

This brings into question the fact that game developers should give players the options to choose simple settings like this in the options. Do you want better draw distance, choose said option in the menu. Do you want better performance at the expense of some of the graphical quality, choose that option. I don't know why developers don't give us that choice.

Tbh, I'm actually buying a PS4 just for this game. Of course, I'll be getting others, but MGS V is what sold me on getting a Ps4, and I'm pretty sure there are others out there.

Currently there are no games on PS4 that motivate me to buy one. I assume something else will pique my interest before TPP is released but if it doesn't, I'm still going to buy a ps4 just to play it.

Watch this 30 minute demo at 1080p.... draw distance is very noticeable especially when foilage and animals pop in.
Gotta say though this game looks like it's shaping up really nic, be sure to watch it from a new tab in full screen for best experience.. also be sure to stick around for the full 30 minutes to see Motherbase in action too!

Can't wait to play it, I bought a PS4 for MGSV.
This game will suffer some graphical downgrades because of it being cross gen... I wish this was only next gen exclusive because they wouldn't have to aim to create a unified experience across all platforms they could aim to make this came look, run and play amazingly on PS4 without caring what it would look like on PS3...

Destiny is unfortunately going to be suffering from crossgen limitations.... as mentioned by StoneFoxMedia

I wish they could stop making games on PS3 and 360... they had a good run.. it's time to move on now because games on the latest system will suffer because of it.
