Can anything really prove that BB was killing his own men?

Lately I´ve seen a lot a people here assuming that Big Boss will betray his own comrades (who were supposed to become his Outer Heaven, please, not another military group) just because of that penultimate shot of the E3 2014 trailer that shows him inside an unidentified base in alert and killing soldiers of unidentified affiliation.

I tried as hard as I could to find a Diamond Dogs logo in their uniforms, but I couldn´t. A guy in facebook told me that a lot of people are assuming so JUST because of that scene where Big Boss gets off a jeep along with Skull Face (seriously, did everyone just forgot the previous games where the antagonists are used to hold up or dominate the protagonist in some way and take them for a stroll of infinite cutscene talk?) and because the uniform of the CQC´d soldiers was similar (because there are so few military groups in the world, right?).

Can anyone really show me sensible proof to reinforce that theory? The first time I saw that trailer, it was normal to me, I seriously thought that those were some poor souls of a base that´s about to be fucked up by Diamond Dogs.

I think I saw those soldiers he kills wearing the same scarf things as the Mother Base soldiers who were sparring/fighting.

Indeed.

It's not him senselessly killing the men. There's some shit going down, like mind control or something. Perhaps Mantis? The guards were obviously acting weird.

Skullface's men clearly wear a completely different outfit. Also Big Boss was not there under duress. He's armed and freely getting off the truck with skull. The people he kills, clearly are dressed like DD from previous scenes.

Something I am confused about is the balaclava. we clearly see no balaclavas at mother base during the gameplay vid, but there are lots of scenes with them wearing balaclava and the only one where they arent is during the scene where Big Boss rubs his comrades' leftovers on his face.

But there is still sparring matches where BB clearly allows the use of lethal weapons like knives.

that scene didnt really look like a sparring match to me. It looked like a personal fight. The way that guy brandishes the knife and how the crowds reacting. Big Boss shows up and is "like wtf you scrubs doing, you even know how to use that knife boy?"

I think it was sparring that went too far. Got lost in the adrenaline.

One thing that I've noticed everytime is that we only see him shoot four guards (three holding him back and the last walking by he pops in the head). Yet there's give bodies when the scene ends. Thus he killed one before they grabbed him. Maybe those three were grasping him because they found he had killed one already?

yeah it's clear that Big Boss as a leader takes hold of that situation where they are sparring and grabs the attention of the soldier and tries to force the soliders own hand to stab Big Boss as if to say "If you can kill a comrade in Diamond Dogs, then you might as well go ahead and kill me" to which the reaction of the soldier is "No, no, no!!"

Enlightening the situation.

As far as the 'Unidentified Location and Unidentified affiliation" it's pretty clear that regardless of where they are, Big Boss is killing Diamond Dogs soldiers. They are wearing the exact same uniform as DD Soldiers, Brown with yellow collars on the inside. If you pay attention, the soldiers seem to be in a trance like state of mind, as if they are zombified. Could be Psycho Mantis taking control of them and that's why the base is on alert, or they could have been poisoned and were suffering a slow and horrible death, and BB is just putting them out of their misery.

Well, this kind of makes sense, except for the part where he needs to team up with his enemy and kills his own soldier in order to become evil or whatever. But I really appreciate the theory of Big Boss and Miller parting ways, and may I add that we all know Miller isn´t really the pretty girl we think, thanks to the secret cassette tape of PW that reveals that he is actually a Cipher affiliate.

If we take a look at all of Ground Zeroes´s Skull Face dialogue (including the extra tapes), we can tell that he is a victim of the world leaders´s power struggle during maybe Wolrd War II or the beginning of the Cold War, and now that The Patriots have taken up The Philosophers´s place and fault in the world´s problems, he infiltrated the organization and it´s seeking revenge on it´s two greatest figures: Zero and Big Boss, starting with Big Boss in Operation Trojan Horse, which destroyed MSF and almost did the same for Snake and Miller.

Miller wasn´t betrayed by Zero AT ALL. So I think he will keep his position as a Patriot/Cipher agent in Diamond Dogs and as Big Boss´s suspicions grow greater every day, they will eventually engage into a power struggle that will result into a Diamond Dogs civil war, maybe, explaining the scene. But regarding his thing with Skull Face, I really think that they are still enemies but in some kind of truce or negotiation for destroying Zero, yet he is preparing to strike Skull Face down when the right opportunity comes (any MG fan who knows the whole timeline is aware that Big Boss had strategically approached Zero again by ´´leaving´´ Outer Heaven and rejoining FOXHOUND in cold blood, waiting for the right time to strike The Patriots, so this is really plausible).

Pretty cool theory, too, although I dislike having to connect even more characters from future MG games (like Mantis) to explain this. But we all got trolled by Kojima when we saw Snake ´´killing´´ Chico in the E3 2013 trailer, so I guess we maybe got mistaken this time again. But the poison theory, this seems kind of lame. Let´s see how it plays out.

The whole scene was weird. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be... "Nonchalance". From both the guards, and Snake.

Whether zero was complicit, two members of his organization tried to destroy MSF, one of them succeeding. I've said zero later convinces Kaz he didn't authorize the attacks and he returns but he doesn't feign his hatred towards cipher at least at the beginning. He was on big boss' bandwagon after Paz's attack. If he wasn't he wouldn't have revealed himself and flatout explained who Cipher was for Big Boss.

they are wearing the same yellow scarfs as ocelots men on the diamond dogs mother base...

As far as wether big boss is betraying..we will have to see maybe ocelot and his men betray diamond dogs, maybe they are another organization that steals the uniform,

I could totally imagine big boss turning on everyone and stealing metal gear and his entire army being kids he saved.

No one seems to mention(or maybe i missed it) the soldier in the DD uniform that is aiming his laser sighted weapon at Big Boss from the other chopper, perhaps that is part of the precursor that leads to Big Boss killing fake DD soldiers?

Someone mentioned that they think thats Quiet impersonating a DD soldier to escape mother base. They thought the eyes looked girly or something

They're definitely Mantis controlled or something fucky is going on with 'em;, the way that 3rd guy just zobie-walks by without a care just ain't right at all. Boss is just dealing with them efficiently, ain't got no time to find out what's wrong and get them back to normal.
