I Am The Hype

Kojima's goal was to make BB the misunderstood hero. Last year, he made us think that BB is shooting the africans. Now, he is making us think he's trying to convince us that he is killing his own people. So, i see what he's doing. Wait for the game and don't jump to conclusions.

I think once we get our hands on the game we will see BB story going the way of The Boss's story, where he becomes a villain from the point of view of others but not really a villain. We will understand his choices i guess is what i mean and be able to empathize. Of course it could go a completely different way, it's just a feeling i've got.

I don't think that'll be the case this time. The whole point is that Big Boss becomes a "demon" - someone whose actions, while understandable, are evil and entirely unjustified. Even Kojima would be able to recognise that Big Boss being a misunderstood hero would ruin everything about the plot of this game.

All of them are acting weird. The guards are just like "i don't even really care to be honest" while snake is holding the gun like he's holding one for the first time.
PEACE will come.

Maybe it is Mantis controlling them or maybe this is how SOP gets developed, from Mantis. They inject his powers into GW or something like that lol.

I don't think the soldiers are even trying to stop Big Boss. I think they're trying to either get by or push him towards the direction the 4th soldier is going before Big Boss headshots him. If they were controlled to attack him, why did 4th dude just walk past Big Boss? I think for whatever reason, Big Boss is trying to hold them back, they're all struggling to get past him (or push him in a certain direction), he shoots them, then the last one starts walking towards said direction, Big Boss shoots him and Big Boss goes in said direction anyways. Which, to me, makes it as if wherever they're trying to get to is either bad for others or worse than death for themselves. Or both.

I'm numbering them by soldiers alive and in engagement with Big Boss in the scene. The 1st doesn't count cause he's already dead. The only thing I could say about the first one is that this is the first time he chooses to kill. Perhaps he reflects more about it when he kills the first one there which is why he seems so straight forward with the other 4.

Only me

If you notice the way he points the gun at the fourth guy, it seems...hesitant, in a way. I think its because he just killed some of his very own men.
