I think you're forgetting one thing (I suggested long ago that they may be the same for the same reasons but not truly believing it):

How stupid would it be from a writing standpoint if they were the same? What is there to gain? No one will think it's clever. They'll find it anticlimactic and be upset such a compelling character was wasted.

We don't know that Skullface is Hungarian. He said the only words he remembered from his from his village was "let the poor thing die". If that was the case how could he say "put the boy in the cage" in Hungarian. I do believe that Ocelot spent time in Hungary however because there are account of Volgin raising Ocelot for a period of time and we know that Volgin was a part of the Hungarian revolution on the Soviet's side.
That's true. I'm looking forward to find out the truth, it seems ridiculous if he is really burned and wearing a fake face all this time, or at least in mgs3 and v, he might have had his face repaired after that alongside Big Boss getting his face full of scars and horns removed.

or he could just be wearing a skullface mask. Thats why everyone points out that its not a mask in GZ, so you dont think its a mask. And then he starts wearing legend of zorro mask on top of his mask to further confuse us. maskception.

I think this theory is grasping at straws and if true, will ruin Ocelot's character development throughout the series. It would be a stupid move on Kojima's part. Let a new phantom come forth.

Is it time for the weekly "tonic rewords a theory he's already posted several times and posts it again even though it's been refuted every other time" topic again? Great, real great.

Skullface is not fucking Ocelot, that's the end of it, give the crazy shit theories a rest because I'm sure we've all had enough of them to last a lifetime without seeing another bullshit theory.

Snake! Snake! SNAAAAAAKE!

Just because they have similar traits doesn't mean their the same person. And skullface is a totally a different person if you watched most of the trailors.

Skulface is not ocelot. The idea that he might be just seems silly. Western clothes and deception are coincidinces. Let it go. Skulface is most likely a new character.

What there is to gain is a deeper insight into Ocelot. I think sometimes people are forgetting that Ocelot was even able to fool himself into becoming someone else(Liquid). It is very much in line with his role as a triple agent spy and his deceptive nature.

We all were wondering how Big Boss changed to become this villainous character. What if it was Ocelot in a desire to target Zero manipulating Big Boss action. Ocelot definitely has the deep pockets to fund Diamond Dogs/Outer Heaven or whatever project Big Boss is embarking on.

The thing is we won't necessarily find it anticlimactic. What if it happened like the revelation at the end of the sixth sense where it just suddenly dawns on you that Ocelot was Skullface all along. It could well happen at the end of the game where Skullface gestures at you with the Ocelot gesture and you realize damn so you were Ocelot. There are many ways it could be done to be compelling.

And some peoples skin is just naturally like that, this, like all the other "evidence" you've given to say that Skullface is Ocelot, means nothing.

He's not Ocelot, end of fucking story.

So many people are obsessed with "this new character is actually this person." Or "this new character is related to this other character."

Give it a rest. It's bland and annoying to think that these things are true. If they are true, then I will be beyond annoyed.

Let new characters be new characters. Please. Stop with this body-double/relation talk.

I understand why you feel the way you do but this is not coming from nowhere.

Skullface says he and Big Boss go way back. Doesn't have to be someone we know but it does hint at the possibility.

He is claims he is out to kill Zero and that once Big Boss, Zero and Paz die then no one will be left. So which group were the people listed apart of that is mentioned in the series?

The Pats??? seems like the likely answer. If that is the group then guess what Ocelot is a likely candidate for being Skullface
