"So who's that guy?"
"Is he like, the main bad guy?"
"I don't get how you're able to do that" (gameplay mechanic)
"Is that one a girl?"
"This is like Star Trek" (it's not remotely like Star Trek, except for the alien looking character)
"What would happen if you..." (they name something that's so not something you want to do right now)
You climb into a vehicle "Oh wow, that's cool. Does it fly?"
And if you answer with ''No'' on all of them they say: ''Oh this game sucks. Why do you even play this?''

:headbang:
I just imagined

Q: "So who's that guy?"
A: "No"

Made me chuckle a little

I dont know why you call this another uninformed rant, his points are pretty valid, diferents styles meshed in one single game never end well, i can see TPP being a jack of all trades master of none scenario.
It's pretty obvious that you did not even watch the video.

Here are his points:

Things like thinking Snake is silent because they couldn't afford paying Kiefer more,

Spending a full minute complaining about horse poop.

Completely ignoring the fact that Konami confirmed the A.I and the difficulty is not balanced for the purpose of the demo.

Getting all sorts of story details wrong.

Thinking Fulton Recovery is a fake thing.

Complaining that they're going for arcadey elements just because the game is getting better graphically is stupid.

Complaining about Raw Diamonds which were specifically played there for the sake of the demo is stupid.

Complaining about the path he took to reach the objective when Sean Eyestone specifically stated that they're going this path to show some features, though you can reach the objective whichever way you want.

Judging the story without playing MGS 3 - 4 - Peace Walker

Saying that a lot of the stuff he liked in the previous MGS titles were only put there by the English translation team, even though it has been stated recently that every single change to the script in the English version has to go through Kojima Productions in Japan first. (David Hayter himself said that)

All his complaints about the tone of the story comes from the fact that there is now rape in the series. Are we supposed to pretend that Ground Zeroes was the first time that rape was a part of the story?

He literately quoted stuff from Kojima that Kojima never said in the first place.

I repeat again, he thinks that Fulton is a completely fake thing.

So yeah, you didn't watch the video.
God bless you for watching the video and giving the rundown of it.

I don't think they're that bad. They're just non-MGS fans talking about the demo. They clearly don't know much about the series, so who cares lol

It's not even a rant or anything, they're mostly cracking jokes about stuff they don't get.

The bald guy hates MGS2, all his points are invalidated.
You too have known loss, and that loss torments you still. You hope hatred might someday replace the pain, but it never goes away.

That's not it, it's that he's like "MGS stories should never tackle serious stuff like it is doing now. It should just remain goofy like it always did. Oh BTW I only played MGS1 and 2. What? 3, 4, and PW? Nah bro, who needs those?"

Generally I like this guy, and I do agree with him on the depiction of females in these games, but it's hard for Americans with their sense of justice to get Japanese culture some times. It for sure comes off as very ignorant when he talks about what Metal Gear should or shouldn't tell stories about when he freely admits to having no context after the second game.

Do keep in mind when you're uniformed, your opinion is largely based on preconception and personal bias and I could see why he feels the way he does about the series based on that alone.

Think this is click bait tbh. I do agree however that Kiefer being infinitely more expensive than David to record with has something to do with less talk from Boss.

I wonder if enemies will detect you using the fulton ballon on hard if they're close enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. GZ on hard during daytime was pretty unforgiving.

Kojima said that he wants characters to talk less through words, and more through their facial expression. I think this statement is from last year pre-e3 konami presentation.

I also saw a news flash, can't remember the source is from where, said that Kojima wants Big Boss to talk less because of Big Boss is protagonist played by player. They want player to influence the game, not by the linear story force player to follow what Big Boss's thinking.

What kojima depict on females in this game is not for entertainment, but a glimpse at what the real world happened during war. Yes, those aren't pretty, and yes, those really disrespectful to the females. History is written by the victors, those part didn't show much in the history book so I understand some ignorance who never knew about those and saying the world is perfect. This controversial topic is not only a cultural difference, it's a reminder of general ethics.

Kojima's storys are always sending a silent message, anti-war, anti-nuclear, peace. But he won't say out loud. He show those message by showing the opposite of those to let us see how bad it could be.

In peace walker, you will be detected if you are useing the fulton close enough with another enemy but just a "huh?". They rarely go into alert mode. I think TPP will enhance this part of the AI.

Seriously. Kiefer was chosen as much for his facial acting as his vocals. That can't have been made any clearer. Even when someone made a joke about it, they had to make it clear it was a joke.

And what's it based on anyway? We've only seen a few minutes here and there.

The facial expressions really aren't anything special in GZ to be honest. They keep talking about that but I don't see too much of it.

Also lol @ the player thing. Big Boss isn't some character we created, named and put an appearance on. He's a character with his own personality and characteristics free of player influence in a linear story. That's just absolute bullshit.

Real female soldiers didn't wear battle bikinis, bro. I'm all for positive anti-war, anti-nuclear deterence messages, but there is no deep meaning to ridiculous fanservice with contrived reasoning like "photosynthesis powers require nudity"; where was The End's fucking g-string then?

Pretty sure that was just Quiet's escape gear, as in the 2014 E3 trailer we see her with regular Diamond Dogs military outfit but when she's bungee jumping around stabbing people at Mother Base she's wearing the ''battle bikini''.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that coverall outfit is meant to subdue her from being able to use her abilities.
