just a quick point on cqc but think it would be immense too see a cutscene or gameplay point in which big boss takes on multiple enemies similar to when he takes on the ocelot unit in mgs3 but on a larger scale demonstrating perfect CQC and being a serious badass wiping out his enemies. if this happens i would like it to be implemented in the game play cqc as although i was impressed with ground zeroes i felt there could be more added to the judo throw and weapon disarm such as weapon dismantling and holding two soldiers at once similar to what solid snake does at the resistance hq in mgs 4

anything close to the final fight in mgs4 i think would be welcomed very much as i think that is the top gaming moment ever

Assassin's Creed style, 1 vs 10 and still a flawless win..
Snake is a beast but I don't want dumb enemies

In a real fight 1 vs 2 is never easy, even if you are a legend..bullets are pretty fast

A few tweaks and some new moves and expand on what we got in gz and it would be perfect

My only complain about MGSV´s CQC is that it abandons the classic and cool style of MGS3 and 4´s CQC, where a knife is more than important to subdue enemies more easily, and Snake has to actually incapacitate a lot of the enemies´s body points before grabbing him. Thanks to PW, it now looks like the soldiers are so retarded that Big Boss can grab them barehanded even and without doing the incapacitate thing.
Liquid, you´re outdated!

I would think certain cqc moves could be learned along the way. Like at mother base, maybe a certain amount of sparring with your fellow soldiers may unlock new moves. Kojima did say you can practice shooting and cqc at mother base, just depends on how far they can go with it I suppose

Good point.

My biggest upset with Ground Zeroes was how shallow the choking animation seemed. It takes all of two seconds for the target to be stunned, and it didn't feel satisfying as it did in past games. I suppose it does not feel like it has power behind it. I hope they expand what you can do with the solider in a choke hold as seen in MGS3 and MGS4 but I do not feel we will see a dramatic difference in the CQC system in TPP.

Honestly I'd be happy with some new non-combat cqc moves. Like how Boss can now have them call nearby guards in for example. If you grab one from a corner (when he is investigating something he saw) it'd be cool if you could make him give the all clear the guards behind him then, or to use a guard as moving cover at night by being somewhat crouched behind him and directing him forward with a knife/gun to his back and his flashpoint forward so it makes guards in front likely to not see Boss at all.

Little things like that would be nice. :)

this.
Some new non-combat-cqc moves like the ones you suggested would be great, especially the all-clear radio call ^_^

Give it credit, it's a lot better than the past variants of choking.

Vanilla Coke is better. I'm the shite one.

The CQC in GZ was exactly what the system needed. It really needed some simplification. Mechanically the system is great in Ground Zeroes. But visually it looks stupid. Throwing an enemy like they are a rag doll doesn't look nearly as cool or grounded as the MGS3/4 CQC animations. Those animations looked like specialist forces stuff.

I like how it's more simplistic (which it should be). Those that prefer the old ways are blinded by fanboyism. But they could improve on the moves themselves like Tom suggested. Honestly, it doesn't bother me though. But it's definitely in the right direction. MGS3's controls are so clunky.

Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a mechanical improvement. I just feel two seconds to put someone to sleep is not long enough. With an added time to put someone to sleep, it could add tension to the gameplay experience if there are other enemies in the area. They could even have the grabbed A.I. have a resisting animation while being choked to create a longer choking process. Just my thoughts.

I agree, the current choking animation is way too short. The time it takes to choke them to death should be what it takes to stun them. After 2 secs of choking, you wouldn't even feel light in your head
