In the 2013 trailer, BB finds a cage of African child soldiers. They show him cremation of Kaz's body guards. Regardless of how they obtained, BB empties a full mag at them. Maybe after this BB realizes the diamonds could be easily stolen, which is why he turned the diamonds into blade edges, which is why all knifes shine in the 2014 trailer. Thoughts? |

theres one thing I dont understand.. How does everybody know that he's killing thoose children? you cant actually see what he is firing at. it could easily be a cutted scene? Shooting down enemy soldiers? It doesnt have to be the children? |

Don't fight it.

Just saying...I think it's edited to look like he shoots them, it's not confirmed that he actually does. |

I would say he's possibly providing cover fire for the children's escape. Which would explain the full auto kind of wild shooting. |

Ya i don't buy he's shooting them at all, plus there is no proof either that they are DD diamonds, Africa has alot of diamond mines, plus we know that there are raw diamonds in the game for you to find and collect. That scene from the trailer imo is just another misleading shot, like how in the GZ trailer, everyone thought BB was killing chico. |

"Mankind will come together, reunited between these fluffy buns."

He's "killing" those kids no more than he was "killing" Chico in GZ. |

I couldn't agree more. Kojima, like Hollywood film makers, makes his trailers to mislead the viewer. Edited by avimran, Jul 1 2014, 11:43:27 PM.

Except in those marvel movies. I watched the entirety of Spiderman 2 just in the trailers. |

That would be a massive cocktease, but than again, this is Kojima. IDK, I don't want children to die, but god damn it don't bait and switch us. |

there's is just no way he was shooting at the children considering how prevalent they have been in multiple trailers. not only that, but the kids are shown as slaves in one trailer, and in the rest they are wielding guns. if a child soldier has been trained in combat, then they would not be demoted to mining for diamonds, doesn't make a lick of logic. big boss most likely "saves" these children and they join the ranks of his mercs for redemption and a chance at revenge for the people who put them in there in the first place. just my 2 cents |

Big Boss' philosophy has always been about creating a perpetual system of war. War kills people and makes orphans. These war orphans are then recycled back into the system as soldiers. It would be a never ending cycle. It makes total sense that he would rescue the children and train them as soldiers. It fits with his philosophy and world view. |

Are you referring to the theory that YongYea put up on youtube in his trailer analysis? |
| "Genes exist to pass down our hopes and dreams for the future through our children. Living is a link to the future. That's how all life works. Loving each other, teaching each other... that's how we can change the world. I finally realized it. The true meaning of life..." - Naomi Hunter | |

I don't think those are cremation diamonds made from Diamond Dog soldiers that the african children are showing him. Those diamonds they show him are pre cut ones, that are cut that way after they are found. They then go looking that way to a buyer, who will then cut em into the shape of diamonds that we know from rings and such. The cremation diamonds he makes from human carbon, are molded straight into the the shape of a final diamond. There is no reason to make them look like the "pre cut" looking diamonds before they're made into the traditional shape. And I don't see why Big Boss would make em look that way on purpose, I think he would go with the final look..like the diamond dog logo. Edited by ADAMska87, Jul 5 2014, 12:55:54 AM.

I'm amazed how long this idea has been going on, I'm not sure if it's everyone believing everything Yongyea tells them or just everyone coming to the same conclusion, but to me, shooting defenceless people who are locked in a cage seems like such a weird conclusion to jump to. Kojima said that facial expressions will speak louder than words and that facial animation will tell the character's feelings accordingly. The look on BB's face when he's shooting full auto... i don't know. Doesn't seem like he's doing what he'd consider everyday stuff! Maybe the kids end up with the diamonds somehow in Africa after the DiDo mission goes south and BB finds the diamonds on them later when the kids are captured. Or maybe DiDo captures the kids and BB ends up shooting his own men because they want to torture the kids or worse. That would explain the look on his face before he pulls the trigger. I see that being the case myself! Edited by Thermals!, Jul 3 2014, 02:46:23 PM.

Yeah I don't know how people came to that conclusion. They are two different shots, plus the cages were on the floor and it looked like her was firing upwards. |

Based on Big Boss' well-known affinity for child soldiers, I doubt he's shooting those kids. |

Got it Memeorized?
|
Besides, he's shooting at just one location. If he was shooting those kids, you would have seen him move the gun around. Most likely, the kids got back because he told them to do so, and he just shot the lock. |
