Alts werent a problem tbh, shutting down the servers and making all the purchases invalid so quickly was though. I dont know if i'll ever buy konami dlc again, multiplayer anyways.
The thing is, in the mgo agreement, it actually states that konami can completely terminate the online service whenever they see fit, withought any compensation towards you, so basically all that dlc was just taken away from us, and we couldnt do anything about it even if we wanted too.

Im definetly going to eye that agreement next time around cause the last thing i want is to pay for extra content and then not be able to use it once they decide to terminate the online.

I paid for the Dlc and i played it like mad for hundreds of hours so my Money was well spent. Was it overpriced? Yes it was, but i had fun with the content i got and that's what matters.

Now regarding MGO3, i really Hope they bring back the levelling system of MGO2. I never played a game where leveling up felt so Good and earned!

Yes but that doesnt change the fact that since the beginning konami could just take away the things you purchased whenever they wanted, and you couldnt do anything about it, sure we can say that our money was well spent, but idk its just that the termination part of the agreement just rubbed me the wrong way.

But yea in mgo3 im definetly going to check that agreement and hopefully konami dont pull this again.

I doubt they will bring back the leveling/deleveling. If they are going for a class based system then I know which direction their going. I asked them on twitter if they were adding the MGO loadout/skill selection system. At start they said "We are going for a class system" Then I show my disheart for it, and they said "We don't know yet" So basically we will get Call of Metal Gear Online. Mark my words. #TheBoris91 check on twitter if you want.

meh, honestly i don't think the class system is necessarily a bad thing,it's mostly about how they design.although i admit i would gladly welcome the old skill system myself.

Because a class system just isint as good as being able to pick through a variety of skills and weapons that suit your own then to settle for a restricted selection of only a few items and maybe weapons because "thats how this class plays"

Thats just how i see it though, ive gotten tired of being restricted when i play cause i just loved the freedom you were given in mgo, and most people can agree with me on that, even people ive met that barely played mgo look back at it now and just go "it did so many things that other games still havent done"
Id rather have alot of options then limited ones, it limits variation and makes it boring in the long run.

I agree with Sean, adding a forced class system would leave a lot less freedom to the players and how they want to play, look, and how the online in general would feel. The whole skill thing from MGO2 was good, and can be improved on even further with new skills in my opinion.

Well to be fair. The only way id accept a class system is if the customization was not tied to the class, but from what we saw in the game play-
stealth class = sneaking suits
Assasult class = heavy armors
Sniper class = camouflage and or guillie suits
Now its not for certain if its going to be like that, but thats how it was shown, and even the new mgo title picture follows that same theme

The enemy team however doesnt seem to follow this theme though (athough its only a few of them) so hopefully the customization has no restrictions... Unless its a faction thing, which in that case i find it even worse.

I have to agree that the class system makes me extremely nervous. Hopefully it only involves a very limited selection of gear/equipment or skills and leaves the bulk of the gear, skills, and weapons to our choosing. I like Battlefield 4 online, but having a strict class system like that in MGO would be devastating.

The whole bf4 comparison is what worries me too.
But if it sticks i guess we will have to wait and see how it will play out
Since the majority of mgo bets would probably say no to a class system, (thats all ive seen on twitter regarding this, im sure they will either make it good or take it out, they say their not sure so it can go wither way

I have faith that if they absolutely have to include a class system that they will be able to do so in a limited way, allowing for plenty of player preference and customization. It just worries me is all. Its something that could go wrong very quickly. We just wont know until more info is released on how they are planning this class system and just how restrictive it will feel for the players. I used the BF4 reference just to highlight how restrictive it could potentially be. The system works in BF4 because of the other aspects of the game such as the vehicles, identifying the potential threat based on the silhouette, and picking up gear sets off the ground in some situations.

Maybe they will just dump the idea and leave it up to the players choice after hearing what fans think. This would be the best option in my opinion, but we'll have to wait and see.

I'm really worried about the class system and the levelling system aswell. I hope they Don't follow Games like battlefield in these things... Levelling up in those Games is so trivial and un-rewarding. And it has such a limited customization. I get sick of even thinking about that possibility :hmm:

I'm worried aswell though. But it's almost confirmed that they are using a class system /:

Deleveling will be removed too, casual players don't have a chance against high level players and they stop playing it so kojima will make it "user friendly" this time.

Prestige incoming lol

MGO2 had deleveling system? How exactly did that function there?

Fo example if you do good in a match vs high level players and you are low level you getting up a level fast. And if you do bad vs low levels and you are high level you delevel down fast.

So in fact the level system in mgo 2 showed if you good or bad, not like other games where you just need to play alot.

Sounds kind of weird system if there were some unlockables at higher levels. But even the no deleveling systems have it's cons since some players have bad habit of kicking high-level players out of the game before starting and those who have been victims of those kicks could appreciate that kind of leveling system more than no deleveling system.

Class system increasing teamplay. I cant understand what they're going for, chose your role, support the team. MGO2 was plagued with alot of one man running and gunning. Of course with roles there must be a ton of stuff that is also incoming, i'm guessing maybe a few more vehicles and an engineer class of some sort.
