I'll be honest, some games take Gun camo/paint customization to ridiculous levels, it bothers me to see people with shiny gold or pink assault rifles in some games.

But I'm fine with regular camos. Come and think of it, didn't the LMG in the start of MGO3 trailer had a camo?
it did. At the beginning of the trailer you could see some different camouflage patterns on the LMG's

All i saw was the same pattern, and it wasnt even the whole gun, just the box for the ammo
Its could just be a default thing for the gun

I believe the camo on the LMG at the beginning was the same camo we saw a soldier in the Africa gameplay have on his same LMG. We may get weapon camos but they just might not be customizable.

I don't mind pink assault rifles. Made for a cool look in GTAO to have pink guns with white and pink clothes.
That would probably feel kinda out of place in MGO though... Also gear in MGO2 was mostly taken from MGS, remakes of MGS gear and inspired by MGS gear.

It would feel out of place in a game that has grown men get completly distracted over a wolf plushie... And will also have the chicken cap... I think it fits right in

That might be true but I'm speculating on how developers are thinking. More like how Kojima is thinking. Because KPLA are obviously under Kojima's direction. So HK might have told the developers that MGO will have a more serious feel, with a few funny things. Instead of going all out with funny, unrealistic things in every aspect of the game.

Yea but it can still be serious considering customization is optional you could dress serious aswell as humorously.
It mostly depends on gameplay, and having the game give you complete freedom to customize your character can make it more enjoyable.

That's what I'm hoping for but I feel like the best thing to do is to not expect perfection because that would lead to disappointment 100% guaranteed. I'm Hoping for MGO to have true freedom of choice. But based on what we know right now (Class system) I won't exactly expect it to have that.

Eh i already have a secondary option if mgo fail, APB reloaded is a game thats coming out for current gen consoles in 2015, i always wanted to play it cause the customization is insane, and its free to play..
So if mgo doesnt turn out that well ill probably play that.
But until then, i continue to give feedback.

If MGO turns out to be boring I will first be devastated. Then probably play it for the social aspect.
But I'm pretty sure it won't be boring. Even if it won't be a free as MGO2, it will still be fun, interesting and social.

The one thing ive been complaining about for mgo is the way you equip weapons, your character only pulls out the gun while aiming, i dont like that especially for mgo, sure mgo2 people unequipped weapons on purpose, but it was to move faster, now thats not really there, and i liked having my character hold the gun out.

Just a few ideas from me going to try and keep it simple:

- Target... In the MGO3 trailer we see the main target that has to be retrieved is some kind of briefcase/laptop which was disappointing to me. 99% of other online games have these generic or bland targets and they're just so boring. Personally I would love to see GAKO and KEROTAN return, although I understand they may be hesitant to do this as new casual players will be like ''what the fuck is this yellow duck''.

- Levels... I'd love the levelling system from MGO2 to return as it is the most accurate way that I've seen to represent a players skill. Please please please don't put in a boring progression system where we just level up the more that we play and then eventually reach a limit. Every other game does this and it's uninspiring.

- Animal ranks... These were just a nice way to indicate the style of play of each player and something to aim for. I know when I got Hound and Doberman ranks I was proud of it so would like to see them make a return.

- Rescue Mission... Best Mode :thumb:

I'm excited for this game and stalking the MGO3 twitter account for more info, but my biggest fear is that they're just going to apply all the things that made COD successful with an MGS skin over it. Still can't wait for it though.

I agree with what you have stated. i do feel the L1/R1 shoot L2/R2 weapon/item cycle should return. plus Pleasseeeee bring back sneaking missions. Nothing better than being the legend himself and taking down enemies online. it was the best mode in my mind, rescue a close second.

Clan Battles/Clan Tournaments:
- This would be AMAZING if implemented correctly. Similar to Survival, and Tournament, a Clan Battle event day during the week would be awesome. Only players within a clan can participate, and members of a team should only consist of one clan. The event could then be structured as a tournament where clans face off competing in various game modes -- moving their way up to be the final lasting clan. If a clan wins the tournament, they can get special rewards, or honors they can use to show other players that their clan had won a tournament. Such rewards, or honors could be special customization options for their characters, the clan's mother base, weapons, trophies; etc. However, these rewards should not infringe on gameplay (i.e. - no weapons or items should be awarded). It would be cool, for players logging in for the first time after the event to be given a notification screen of what clan (also showing their emblem) had won the tournament -- allowing for the good clans to gain reputation in the MGO3 community.

sounds good, but that's actually not too different from the old mgo2 tournaments other than the fact you could join without a clan.but that was mostly irrelevant anyway as teams like that hardly ever made it past the first round.

I have to agree, I really like the sound of something like this being implemented.

This is so important to us mgo'ers so I'll say it yet again:

The option to use L1 for aiming and R1 for shooting

Basically an MGS4 controls option, an option that switches L2 functions to L1 and R2 functions to R1. I can't stress it enough how important this option would be. MGSV GZ on PS3 has the option but not PS4. That's unacceptable. PS4 should have the option too. It makes no sense.

I also would like to take what minimii says on the next page as it is pretty important also:

"In GZ the view field of view feels pretty narrow and close to the player. It'd be nice to have the camera backed up a little."

Definitely, ^^ the way it is now is way too close. It needs to be like MGS4 distance. It is really frustrating looking around corners in GZ.

Even better, how about options for camera distance? (Very close, close and far) Options are going to be really important in mgo. The more the better! Thank you!
