Did anyone else noticed in this gameplay demo, that there we a LOT LESS draw distance problems or pop-ins, like objects appearing or dissapearing from very close, like in GZ and previews gameplay videos? or was it just me? |

I just joined the forum so I haven't been able to keep up but has anyone decoded the Morse code heard during the E3 Elegia trailer when the title of the game is shown? |

I went and watched it again. What Morse code? Can you tell me what time? I'm just hearing music and an alarm buzzer. |

Right after you see Big Boss shooting, after Skullface says, "...and theeen it shall be free" and the title appears. There's what sounds like morse code (actually two different patterns are playing at the same time). It's hard to really figure it out because not only does the sound fade in (possible we're not hearing the full "transmission") but there's other noises in the background, like the music. Anyways, there's a "dot" one and a "dah or dash" one. the dot sounds like ... ... ... so dotdotdot space dotdotdot space which translates to "S". the dash sounds like ---- ---- ------ (with a longer sequence at the end). Which doesn't translate to anything. It kinda sounds like ...- ...- .....- The ...- translates to "V" and the longer is too long to be a translation. While yes - I realize S could mean Solid and V might relate to whatever "V has come to" means, I'm really not sure about any of it. I spent a bit of time trying to figure it out, thinking that if you put the two together, it makes something. But I've come to 2 conclusions: 1) It's there for the sound effect that might be in relation to something in the game. Perhaps the morse code is the signal in which the control Zero was talking about takes effect, but it's not specific to anything that we know yet - so it's just a sound effect. 2) ...and this might be way off, but - it might be something related to some other hints we've seen. Meaning it's a piece of a puzzle. Remember the x-ray poster of Snake and Kojima said something like "there's a clue in that poster"? Well, there's loads of dots and dashes all over it. Even smaller dots in between when you look closely. Also, the Nuclear trailer has what sounds like morse code during the title as well, although it sounds different. It's obvious morse code will play some part in the game for some reason - especially with a character like Code Talker present. Maybe I'll slap the audio in a sound program, slow it down and listen a little deeper to see if I'm hearing the sequence correctly - but honestly, I think it's just an easter egg type of thing that we won't understand until we play the game, then we might be able to look back and say "ohh so that's what that stuff meant". Not sure but this seems to suggest that mantis is projecting the image of another Eli. So it's not solid. |

That's just where you put it if its not on your head. Chico's papa did the same thing (you can see it in Peacewalker's art book) so its not just a foxhound jester. |
