So as the topic suggests, for me I am looking forward to the rich procurement of Intel needed to successfully plan and complete missions stealthily. The MG games of late have really been poor in this regards. Gathering Intel to plan routes of infiltration, enemy positions, weaponry etc. will make TPP feel so much more realistic and combining this with an open world setting is sure to be a real a recipe for greatness! |

The Mother Base/ DD soldiers. It will be fun to see the level of customization. And of course the boss battles. Hopefully they're amazing. Spoiler: click to toggle

More than anything, seeing how everything gets to where it ends up. It'll be interesting to see what's injected into the game to give previously existing events and characters extra depth or purpose. |

Looking forward to awesome stealth gameplay AND long ass cutscenes. I've always loved the immersive experience that this series has delivered and from what I've seen its only going to be better. Not looking forward to being manhandled in MGO though. I think a lot of you guys were pretty good at the previous MGOs and I sucked at mgo2 so bad. |

Im excited for sooo much in this game. I think the story and finding out about the characters even more, the possibility of enountering both Eli and david, learning how skull face ties in, BB relationship with miller and Ocelot, how BB meets roy and Frank etc (not too interested in zero really, I always get a little confused by the whole cipher, patriots, philosophers side and feel any more attempts to flesh it out will convolute and confuse it even more) I might play the first time easily without worrying too much about alerts and the like, just absorbing as much of the game as possible, getting used to the mechanics, taking it slowly, playing with various buddies, mixing up my playstyle from pure stealth and building up an impressive motherbase. I'll definitely be seeking out easter eggs, conversations between enemy soldiers, searching every nook and cranny etc. If i do a second playthrough it would definitely be stealth, and with the Japanese voices if possible and trying for S class. Looking forward to the online; building up my bases, making emblems and logos inflitrations to gather more stuff/intel/staff and then the big MGO saga after Ive finished single player...but that deserves its own praise! Not looking forward to possibly having to play 3 or 4 times just to get 100% or the emblems (a la Solid Normal, Big boss hard, Boss extreme and then various other emblem playthrough chases of MGS4). Also I dont know if my heart can take the emotional rollercoaster, MGS4 still has me reeling! |

I'm really excited to see the opening sequence for the game. I'm excited for that moment we first enter motherbase and the first time the game gives us control in an open world. |

Genuinely? Right Now? The title screen. Call me a freak, but putting the disc in the console in a silent room, and watching all the licensing and rights information, followed by a brief demo or intro of some kind, and, after months and years of waiting, finally, the title screen. On a game like this that I've been waiting a long time for and am super hype about, the entire ritual is complete and utter foreplay and I love and savour every goddamn second. s'at weird? |

Not at all. Sometimes, when I'm first starting a game I've really been looking forward to, I try to find every reason possible to delay hitting "X". I always poop and read the instruction manual before, so here's to hoping there IS an instruction manual. |

Looking forward to the vast open world and all it has to offer. Equally as important, I'm looking for a compelling story. This is going to be Kojima's last metal gear, so I want him to go out with a bang. |

Exactly! I'm looking forward to exploring the vastness of the open worlds. I'm really hoping there are other unannounced locations other than Afghanistan and Africa. And all the customization options. And the opening sequence. And of course the story. |

the replayability - open ended missions, guard changing shifts, ai adapting to your last playthrough the level design the atmosphere the art style the sound design - mgs has always had top notch sound design that really adds to the immersion stealth exploration in an open world - tried this with far cry 4 and it didn't really work that well, there were too many animals ganging up on me Edited by themidnightsun156, May 19 2015, 08:43:48 AM.

I'm really excited to see the intro. I assume as the game starts they will drop us right into the shit with the hospital being under siege and as the whole sequence ends, BAM! Delayed intro out of nowhere with sins of the father. That would be amazing. I'm really excited to see that. Obviously there are tons of things i could list though. I'm looking forward to how the open world gives me freedom to tackle missions in any order and discovering new things to make me stronger. I love discovering new stuff and using that stuff to great effect on missions. I'm also looking forward to how the story works in this TV-show format that Kojima talked about and how the game eases me into the story. It'll be interesting to see how the story works for a person like me who's not as invested into the MGS universe as before. Also at this stage, I'm looking forward to the game being released. Even that is considered a milestone for me. It's been so long. Edited by Rogue Agent, May 21 2015, 03:56:47 PM.
