Does anyone else feel like they spent too much on this game?

Snake! Snake! SNAAAAAAKE!

I really like this game. It has good gameplay, graphics and the flow of the story. I spent $50 on this game which I think could've been at least $20 for a game that's so short.

It sells for 30 USD physical copy. I got it for 50 because of import charges because I live in the shithole region known as Southeast Asia, but I don't regret it.
You too have known loss, and that loss torments you still. You hope hatred might someday replace the pain, but it never goes away.

I don't. I played it enough for the money I spent.

Not at all. Along with the GTA V remaster, it's my favourite game on PS4 so far. Playtime of 40 hours so far.

I liked the the game. It was very short but the spent time on a mission for me is long. One hour and twenty minutes to be exact. And has a lot replaybility.
I only have 27% complete. So I have a lot of work to do!

Glad to see these answers. I've been trying to figure out if I should get this for PC ($20) or just wait for TPP. It will be my first MGS game.

I played it until I got every trophy so I played it for...wait for it..."quite some time". lol 30€ is not really much for so much to do. CoD's story is shorter than that.

Nah man I payed £25 for it day one in the UK and I have racked up about 30 hours on it so I would say I have gotten my money's worth out of it and I still enjoy playing one or two missions again every week just to keep fresh on it I totally love it!

Yes I do, I bought Dead Rising Case Zero for $5 day 1 and then GZ shows up for $20? UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

It's a massive rip off and it's painful & saddening to know that people actually defend this crap.

Well it may be the same mission, the replay factor is in the spotlight and using different tactics. Though $20 is a bit much, maybe the price will go down closer to TPP be released

GZ will be free for PS Plus members on June so no excuse not to get it - but as for the op question; to me GZ gave more playtime and fun than most of the full titles I have bought so it's definetly worth it.

I just think that there is no reason to not get it I have seen it for £5 pre-owned in my local game shop and that if not for it being a metal gear game! is all the reason to get it I love it! better than some full price games that I have paid for in the past (looking at you watch_dogs)

was worth every penny.

GZ was kinda like the antithesis to Phantom Pain, proving you could do a lot with a small amount of content. Sometimes I like to play it again just to relive the nostalgia of that hype I felt back in 2014. I remember being really impressed by the gameplay. I was like, oh my God, they're gonna make an open world version of this?
Snake turned the polished brass knob and slid the door open with a loud creak. He was hit with a revolting stench of alcohol, ash and sweat and the site of a destroyed office, with smashed decorations, upturned furniture and torn papers. Emerging from the desk was an absolute wreck of a man, with a shimmer of liquid dripping from his crusted lips. His eyes were red and out of focus, his hair in random, whispy knots. His three piece suit was stained with streaks of water and his vest buttoned in the wrong places. His tie was undone, thrown over his neck like a noose in the gallows.

Did you know I'm novelising Snake Eater? Check out my progress here.

It was a $40 demo at the time. That a demo cost any amount of money is still baffling to me. It had one really good mission, two decent missions, and a lot of novelty filler which still mostly played the same as the main mission just to a lesser degree. I put forty hours into the disk because two of those missions had a lot of replay value.

I also put around that much time in the Tanker demo seventeen years ago. That demo did not cost me a penny. So the 'money's worth' prospect just falls flat on its face to me, because of one enjoys anything enough, they'll replay it again and again.

GZ's outlandishly inflated price and its tone deaf nature make it my least favorite thing with the words 'Metal Gear Solid' in the title. If it were just a demo or a reasonably priced DLC for MGSV, I'd look at it more favorably, despite its dreadful approach to taboo. Because the main GZ mission itself is a quality mission and I put fun over juvenile storytelling. But not when it's grossly overpriced.
