Here is the article.

If that's the case, then MGSV could very will be the best game in the series. Certainly the longest.

I'll keep coming
I guess he forgot to play it on the harder difficulties. That's the extra 50% right there.

Edit: Ha ha, I changed it.

Length does not equate to quality. It depends on the quality of the side missions and content other than the main campaign that will determine if the 100 hours of playable material is worth it. From what I gather so far, it seems like it will indeed be worth it. As Skullsuit states, it is easy to invest hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into a MGS game. I can't count how many times I've replayed MGS2/MGS4, etc. If TPP has 100 hours of pure quality content, then that can easily equate to thousands of hours of enjoyment.

I agree about length not equating quality, but I'm not concerned about the quality. Everything I've seen thus far for MGSV looks amazing to me.

I can only speak for myself, but I enjoyed the side-ops in Peace Walker because they contributed to the overall plot (sometimes) and the expansion of Mother Base. I was addicted to the base-building in Peace Walker. Since MGSV's base building is much more in-depth, I can easily see how I could spend countless hours doing side-ops like I did in Peace Walker. Also, I really enjoyed the side-ops in Ground Zeroes.

As for the story missions, if they are ~50 hours in length, I'm going to need a mop and multiple buckets.
