In the very first trailer, The Phantom Pain by Moby Dick studios one, there was some dramatic piano notes sprinkled about in it. I tried to discover from what song these notes were from but couldn't find anything conclusive, so it was probably made just for MGSV or that particular trailer. But the best suggestion I found was Frederic Chopin's Prelude Op. 28 No. 2 in A minor, which has some very similar notes although they are not played exactly the same. Obviously no lyrics in the song and nothing in it that would necessarily invoke MGSV, but I only discovered this great piece of music to begin with by trying to figure out what was in the trailers. The piano bits in that trailer could at the least be considered Chopin-esque or Chopin inspired. Haha. Although in a different sense than from what you mean here, Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb also somewhat suits MGSV. Spoiler: click to toggle The "numbness" spoken of in the song is obviously just a response to great suffering. O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more aaaaaaaah! But you may feel a little sick The screaming bit in the lyrics suggests the numbness is only an outer facade, that he is screaming on the inside. And the rest of the song seems similar to how Big Boss will be sequestered inside his head and distant from others emotionally. The song is more about Punished Snake, than it is about the Venom Snake aspect of him. Edited by abstract-one, Jun 14 2015, 09:25:20 PM.
