Yeah, other soldiers are not nearly as good as Boss.

Boss' stats are all A++, every single one of them. Other soldiers had very average stats.

Shouldn't worry about DD, AI is pretty good, and you can always tell him to wait outside a dangerous area.
So the wolf can be killed during a mission? They mentioned something about it?

I have the feeling that the buddies are only there to lower the difficulty of the game and they are overpowered as hell. Im a bit old school so... Solo infiltration like old times.

The customization looks great. Cool that you can switch buddies during a mission.

I'm gonna guess that the D-Walker was fully upgraded for the demonstration just to show it off.

Didn't mention anything about Buddies dying, and DD didn't take any damage in the demonstration.

BTW the selection menus of weapons, and buddies are awesome! They are very clean and simple! Less is more!

I don't think DD will be immortal. The gameplay could have been modified for demonstration purposes. Remember the GZ gameplay demos before release? Everyone was up in arms at how Big Boss was a bullet sponge!

Tactical takedowns and headshots award bonus points now (everytime you perform one, you get a notice on screen), and every time you take damage, you get a notice on screen detailing the number of shots that hit you.

If the DD isn't immortal, why should I bring the wolf to the mission? I don't want to see the dog dead on the ground.

But if DD is immortal, why should I bring the wolf to the mission? Things would get a lot easier. You could just hide and order the dog to attack making an easy run for the win.

I'm not very fond of the buddy system. I have many doubts about it. I like the solo infiltration thing. But again I will give it a try.

i'm mainly curious if my default base soldiers can be customizable as well, like the main uniform of my army. if we can actually design how our guards look and how they're equipped, then motherbase invasion really will feel like whole new levels.

The incentive will probably be to raise your soldiers stats so that they will perform better during outer ops/missions.

Play how you want. Its all about tactical freedom. Since I don't play with markers on, DD and Quiet will definitely come in handy for scouting. Plus DD can distract enemies and I don't wanna think what him peeing will do. Hide in a porta potty, have DD distract, Porta Potty takedown FTW! Tho I might just sneak past him like Phantom :ninja:

Very tiring day. Did a lot of hands-on with other games at E3, watched a behind-closed doors demo for Rise of the Tomb Raider, talked with the director of that game, met a lot of other developers, booked an appointment for Sony's VR headset for tomorrow, came back and did some University work (yep, still have that), and am now answering questions on four different places.

So I really appreciate the encouraging words from you guys :)
