I apologize if this has already been asked as I'm hesitant to look at thread topics out of fear of spoilers.

I thought we could customize where we put our struts in motherbase. For some reason all my struts are incredibly far away from one another. Am i thinking of fobs instead?

Off topic:any one else kind of bummed they still call you Boss even when you're playing as someone from the combat unit instead? Even Wonder if the voice for them is Sutherland when petting DD and such.

Nah you cannonade the struts unfortunatly even in FOB so that's a bit of a bummer but I see why they did it.. As for getting called boss I think they are referring more to the actual player (kinda 4th wall) to be kinda be like the player is the boss? You know what I'm trying to get at here

It was super lazy to have all soldiers treat you like you're playing Big Boss even if you're not. The only changes they'd need to make; guards don't salute you or get the morale bonus and say something different, like "how's it going." And Pequod and other characters say "soldier" instead of "boss."

Or pequod didn't even need to say solider just take the word boss out of everything and it would have worked I think same if you grabbed a solider they could say like "let me go" instead of the normal lines that they have

Yap idk, I have the feeling all those things were in the development stages and got cut/cancelled when Konami pushed the game out the door. I mean I'm sure Kojima is to blame too having maybe spend to much time or money here and there, but for me the new CEO of Konami is incredibly short-sighted when you consider the FoxEngine is one of the best Engines at the moment and it could be used for every Konami AAA game from now on as well as licences and rented out to other companies and individuals for a lot of long-term money.

The new CEO seems to be only interested in short-term money though. Mobile Games and Gambling Machines. Urgh. At least the old CEO knew to keep a FEW long-term projects (like MGS and SH) running to ensure some long term pay off. I mean it's always good to have your hands in BOTH categories. New management seems to disagree. Idiots.

Exactly my thoughts. but thank God they're stopping AAA production as any future MGS games made by Konami would have been absolute trash. they wouldn't ever reach PO or MGR levels even.
