So when I first began the game here and there the xbox one would stutter with frames and controller response for a few seconds. Now, I've got over 80 hours of gameplay, the stutter happens more frequently- if not consistently and has been worsening in severity. To the point where I thought the game was crashing. Am I the only one, or is this happening to anyone else? |

I am, but I'm not talking about lag during FOB's, which doesn't seem to happen. In case that clarifies what I'm talking about. |

I get it too you are not alone. At first I thought it might be some tv setting I had on the xbox but no avail. It's weird. |

The thing is that - somehow- even without playing FOB, the game seems to have some lag when, for example, you try to open iDroid. I havnt play FOB, don't have FOB, but it happens. Not so often, but always when the game is connected. |

Maybe its something wrong with the system itself. Do any other games stutter? If not, maybe it was poorly optimized for Xbox One. It almost never stutters or drops frames for me on 360, but maybe thats because it only runs at 30fps. |

I assumed it was my xbox needs to be cleaned and is overheating too quick. It has a failsafe that lowers the performance of the gpu and cpu to stop then from overheating. That is what I suspected was going on during these little stutter moments. Now I'm not so sure. |

I'm guessing yours might just be an isolated incident otherwise we'd be seeing a lot more posts/complaints regarding said issue. It could be anything from corrupted game file to hardware related. |

Is that why other people in the thread are seeing a similar issue? |

So I know this thread is a little old but I realized that my MGS was installed on the external I've got connected. Switching it to the xbox itself solved the stutter. |

I have had it about 20 times having played the game for a total of 130 hours. Sometimes the game will stutter & will forces character to stop running & the camera will start turning out of my control until the stuttering has finished. It doesn't happen during every play session & doesn't really irritate me but it does sometimes spoil the immersion. |

For anyone that might be still wondering. I think the problem lies in having the game installed on an external hardrive. Move it to the internal and it should be ok |
