So after completing most of the game and unlocking everything I want, I decided to invest into the costly upgrades for D-Walker. After waiting until getting everything on him before using him, I was very disappointed. He is nothing more than a glorified bicycle. The stealth wait mode is useless, the scouting head is really good, nearly double the range of D-Dog, and the intercept head is broken. And you lose the functions of the stealth and scout head with the intercept head, so you're stuck choosing between the three. With the intercept head and intercept mode, you must first go into the target area, call D-Walker over, THEN activate intercept mode and watch as he stands there only using the secondary pistols. Wtf. I was under the impression you would mark an area and D-Walker would move in and engage, moving about to get line of sight on enemies and using all of its weapons accordingly. I was excited for this, in anticipation I equipped the stun gun, tranq pistols and cqc arm thinking I could send him into outposts and he would neutralize everyone. Nope. Useless fancy bicycle. However, the Skulls Machete is absolutely hilarious. You can run up to tanks and stab them 2-3 times and they blow up. Nonetheless, D-Walker had a lot of potential. At the very least they could of put some effort into him so he could be a viable buddy. |

It's goofy as all hell, and it was kind of difficult to control. Well, not difficult, but different to how I imagined it would have/should have. In the same breath, it doesn't seem like it would be a viable approach to stealth since it's so cumbersome. Not to mention... Spoiler: click to toggle I do like seeing the enemies use the Walker Gears, though. It's very evocative of Metal Gear 2's artwork. The whole game strikes me as a spiritual pastiche of the MSX games, at least with setting. |

Not disappointed really, i just never had a good use for it. An upgraded version of d-walker would have been pretty handy on some missions now that i think about it. Edited by Thermals!, Sep 11 2015, 12:18:49 PM.

D-walker is good for scouting. It is an all-in-one buddy. Transportation, scouting and lot of firepower. |

Lol I bought Intercept Mode for my D-Walker because I thought it can move in to an outpost and kill everyone with mini-gun. Instead it just stood there and when finally an enemy comes close to it, it used a tranq pistols shooting at the fully armoured enemy... I was forced to help it... Never again... |

I started using D-Walker after beating the game. It's more useful than I thought. You have the only adventage of D-Horse, it can detect enemies like D-Dog, you have powerfull weapons, extra non leathel ammo when using it's gun, you can smash into soldiers, carry them faster to the helicopter, it has stealh and you can move fast without enemies hearing you. Ok, the controls might need some getting used to and enemies can spot it faster but it is useful for so many things. Now I use no other buddy anymore. |

D-Walker is pretty useful against some Skulls and it's as fast as D-Horse. |

D-walker is not for the stealthy players. Its not even that good when going full guns blazing XD. It really is only against the skulls in my opinion. |

Some of the gun emplacements in the game has a "roof" made of fabric. Because of this fabric I can't fulton those big guns. Can you use the flamethrower to burn that fabric? |

Was really useful in extreme Sahal boss fight. 1500 minigun ammo, lots of 'sprinting' under Sahal's legs to avoid attacks. Worked really well. Only used it a few times in missions/side ops. Its alright but it doesn't suit my playstyle generally. If I were more interested in going loud and lethal I think it'd be awesome tbh. |

Awww I just can't get to grips with it, I mean it's a cool concept sure but when it comes to actual execution of it I just don't see it ever fitting my playstyle I might give it another shot at some point who knows |

Wasn't a fan of it. I don't know, when I was riding around in that thing , it just didn't feel right. Plus I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but the steering controls felt awkward. |
