Is this a good strategy to quickly power up cash/base/researched items?

I went around an did all the target practice side-ops (netting 210,000). They take a few mins each. The slowest part is taking the heli from platform to platform, but while I did I set Combat Missions. Usually they were finished by the time I'd done the target practice, and so I'd set another one on the next heli trip.

When I'd finished all the target practices I noticed they'd become available again.

Just going around and around doing target practice while setting your staff on missions seems like a very quick and efficient way to amass a lot of GMP, good staff, and resources -- provided you have the patience for it, of course.

I'm new the at the game, is this a waste of time, or a good strategy for someone with patience?

Thanks!

Initially, GMP is hard to come by. So yes, target practice missions are a good start for players who need cash at the beginning of the game. After awhile, you wont find yourself needing to farm those missions for money anymore.

As you play the game, you better off selling your excess resources for quick cash gain. Personally I sell about 50% of my plants and excess biological material for millions in a matter of seconds.

As for your target practice missions, I suggest you use the box for fast travel between platforms. Those helicopter rides between platforms is ridiculously long. Its nice view though.

For staff, I think youll have a better pool of staff if you find them in the field. However, initially you are going to want to fill up your bases to the brim and then start replacing them with better staff as you play.

If you want to kill time on R&D, dont do it whilst playing target practice. R&D eventually costs about 600K + for 1 upgrade with a 3+ hour waiting time.

But once again, for starters. Play how you like, im sure you will figure it out.

Keep selling your precious metals and the more common plants, you don't need very much of them and you net massive amounts of GMP.

Use the box to fast travel between platforms, it's a lot faster, and yeah, thats how I got GMP early on. But then again, I wanted to develop EVERYTHING.

This. I also use combat deployment to gain materials which then I sell. If you do mission #12, you can get a ton of containers and walker-gears which you can sell afterwards. Mission #9 "Backup, Back Down" is a gold mine as well. You can get a ton of vehicles which you can afterwards sell for roughly 30.000 a piece.

I'm personally having problem with fuel resources at current date.

Some great tips here, guys. Thanks very much!

I didn't realise I could fill up my bases with staff and then replace them as new ones came in. I've been keeping my staff quite small but higher than ED.

Fuel resources are a pain. Its just the processing that kills it for me. You actually have to play the game for resources to process. No idling allowed.

I'm almost maxed, fuel wise.

Then again, I'm not doing FOB's, but I'm quite sure that I can dev the command strut from 1 to 4 basically instantly if I wished to do so.

Dev struts cost 70 K fuel for 1 level. Added to that comes with a 2 day + waiting time. Dev costs and time increase as you build more FOBs. Im on my 2nd FOB and each strut level needs 100K fuel for the next development. Its quite madness

Your maxed out fuel resources mean nothing in the face of FOB development. Just saying

Except that I have stacked unprocessed containers which will be processed by the time I'm done developing a strut.

Just saying.

I think I set my FOB on something with A on precious metals so I just sell that. I think I have like 50,000 precious metals and they sell for a ridiculous price so I basically have unlimited GMP LOL. I wish I built on something with A on fuel resources but eh

The grades on mining resources are quite pointless. Our biggest problem is processing the material.

If you want to process more materials, increase the number of Base Dev. platforms. You'll be swimming in resources in no time.
