okay, so, as many of you know, a few months back, i had reached a record low in over 10 years, dropping down to 178.8 lbs. well, as i may have noted, weight doesn't just stay off. you have to maintain healthy eating habits and exercise regularly. and for the longest time, i was doing just that. however, before mgsv came out, around august 20th or so, i stopped working out entirely, because things came up. fortunately, my eating habits were the same, and so i fluctuated between 179 and 183, which was manageable. not too far off, and once i got back out of my funk, i'd continue losing weight. then came november. stress had me eating a little more than i otherwise would, and december, since my mom moved again, and she's got a bad back, and all my other siblings have jobs, i; the guy who only does odd jobs and temp jobs whenever they arise, was the only one available to do the moving, so i volunteered to empty the entire house and move stuff to her new house and the storage unit. and doing so, due to other personal reasons, was stressful both physically and mentally. so i ate a lot in between all the heavy lifting. i was eating chipotle more often instead of my usual sandwich, snacking way more frequently, and not on healthy shit, and not once did i check my scale because i was in a different state of mind. well, the moving finally stopped, i'm back at the apartment, and i knew i done fucked up because my tits were a bit saggier. so i hopped onto the scale on sunday, and what do i see? 197.2 lbs. almost twenty fucking pounds, give or take because i fell off the wagon. fortunately, i pulled my head out of my ass, and got right back on that wagon. so, because i'm turning 31 in a little over 3 weeks, i set a goal for myself; be under 178 lbs by february 14th. my original workout method was simple; burn 650 calories a day, by working out in the morning. now? the plan is to burn a minimum of 1100 calories a day. because i am now working out early morning and late at night, the times of the day when the body has the most energy, if you can believe it. i hit the ski machine with the level set at 10 and the resistance set at 8. i do so in the morning until i burn anywhere between 550 to 600 calories. then i do it again around 9 or 10pm at the same rate. in addition to which, i am once again really counting calories. for snacks, i bought myself english muffins which are 100 calories each, and sugar free raspberry preserves which are 10 calories a teaspoon, which i lather on the toasted muffin slices for snacks / breakfast. lunch, despite better judgement, is my biggest meal of the day, because that's the meal i was eating back when i was working out the first time, and because there was an amazing deal on oatmeal, i got myself strawberry creme oatmeal boxes, and use three packets in one bowl after my nighttime workout, which is only 390 calories, and it keeps me sated at night so i don't eat stupid shit like i was. it's now friday, and i'm down to 192.7 lbs, and i haven't even done my night time workout yet. unless a day arises when i'm just drained, two workouts a day is the plan here. and it's likely to stay that way until i finally reach my eventual "normal weight goal" of under 170, but that's another journey entirely. i'll keep this updated as i go along, and if i meet my goal, i'll get into specifics if anyone else is looking to burn some pounds and has access to a gym. |

Do you do cardio only or do you do weight lifting as well? Once you've been overweight once it's always a struggle to maintain it. I managed to lose a lot of the weight I've gained as a kid but some of it has come back recently. Although I have lost a little bit in the last weeks. I want to be at 190-200. I think with a height of 6 feet, that's reasonable. Edited by Infiltrator, Jan 23 2016, 11:24:59 PM.

flying-spaghetti-monster just under 5'10ft. ideal weight for someone my height is between 150-175lbs. i was near 175lbs before i fell off the wagon, and now i'm back on the wagon and kicking the horse square in the taint for letting me fall off in the first place. infiltrator until august, i was doing a bit of weights, but then i stopped outright. now i'm doing nothing but cardio because i want to burn weight in a hurry, and when i'm back in the 170's, i'll start doing weights again so i can tone my body and lose weight at the same time. |

blindfox the ski machine all the way. i am on that sucker for a good 50 minutes straight, at lvl 10, resistance 8, and not using the handlebars to add more resistance to my upper body. thing is a godsend. |

I have a treadmill and an exercise bike at home. I used to love the rowing machines when I had a gym membership. I'm on a bit of a cut now myself. Mostly using the treadmill, cycling between speed walking and running for an hour. Lost around 7 pounds since I started after the holidays. Trying to get to my ideal weight before I get married in September. |

I did do full on cardio like running and skipping before I lost over 40 kilos. Now trying to control how much I'm eating again because I'm starting to gain a bit. From where I am now, at least another 15 to 20 kilos to my healthy weight. Also I'm short aswell. |

depends on the resistance, at the higher levels it can be like doing strength training. It's a great mix. It's my personal favorite 'cardio' workout |

Yeah it's my favourite too, but I try and push myself to burn weight as much as I can with a 30-50 minute run beforehand and then 25 minutes on it whacked up to 9. Always mixing it up though so I don't just stagnate. |

I recently started fitness for health reason, and cardio is included in a lot of workouts. I use a trainer on the internet (all of the workouts are for free) and I'm really satisfied with it. I can choose my program, my pace, and do most of it at home and without equipement (except maybe a mat). The Departed, I would happily recommend it to you, but I'm not sure anymore about the forum's policy on that, so maybe I should send it to you by MP. Anyway, the trainers are pretty likeable, none of that "I speak all the time" and "I use shitty music" bullshit, and they focus on you being healthy, not on appearance only If that interest you, let me know

I think jump roping is probably my favorite cardio workout next to uphill running or swimming. Old school method, time saving and Ash Ketchum super effective. You can literally substitute 30 minutes of flat surface running with 10 minutes of roping if you do it right. |

I love swimming. I should sign up for a membership somewhere just for the pool. Last time I went on vacation to Florida we rented a house with a pool and I lost like 10 pounds in 5 days because I was swimming non-stop. A lot of that was probably water weight but definitely a great exercise. |

the-departed Could you check that website I send you ? I do around 3 to 5 workouts per weeks. I still have to wait a bit before I get toned, but in 3 weeks I already lost some weight and it's wonderful for mu asthma problem ! catsmilk Swimming is less hard than other method but it's so damn enjoyable. I wish I had a swimming pool for myself, I would never f*cking leave it |
