This is pretty big news..this trailer seemed kind of abstract and symbolic. It could still be like a fucked up dream sequence or something, but if this is the actual game world then this is looking to be a very strange project. |

Seems that they're progressing pretty quickly, since they're closing in on an Engine. I expect footage of the game to be released in E3 next year or possibly sometime earlier, since one of their main goals is to save time by using a 3rd party engine. |

I'm quite excited to see what the game world will envision with a colour pallet and things if Kojima has specific creative direction when it comes to the visuals, I'm guessing a lot of greys and blues, which will be nice to see. As long as it stays vibrant and doesn't get really repetitive like how games like MGS4 really did all except for the Shadow Moses Island mission. |

It's not directly related to Konami obviously, but as he said himself, it's reflecting his return. and it'd still relate to Konami indirectly. |

It's not reaching. he said the trailer isn't related to Konami but he did confirm that it's reflecting his "return". return from what? he didn't quit the gaming industry for sure, so what does that mean? he was silenced by Konami (we're not pretending that they were respecting him right?) for months even before the "vacation" ended, they did their best to keep him out of the spotlight, tried to fuck him over but it worked to their disadvantage. they were the ones who took everything away from him, though he doesn't seem to be too bothered by any of it unlike most fans, because he's coming back with much better technology, a (seemingly) better team and literally better everything else. that's how it relates to Konami, what some people thought about the symbolism in the trailer has been proven wrong, but it's still trying to show that he's coming back after being stripped of everything he had.

I don't know. there's nothing in the scene that would relate to Konami, so he won't face any problems. it only reflects his return, after leaving Konami. |

As much as I like Kojima, I wouldn't give him as much credit as he's getting as a writer or director. His use of metaphors and symbolism is like three kids standing on each other's shoulders in a big trench coat pretending to be a real adult. |

Obviously no, since its Konami property. Making engines in this day and age when you've got shit like UE4 is actually kind of dumb anyways. |

I don't know a lot about engines. Would mgsv have been better on unreal engine 4? If my trailer is going to be in real time, I want the best engine. |

Unreal engine 4 is a pretty good engine, but I'm fairly sure Kojima will probably use his own engine. Also I think his engine might be better then Unreal 4 but I'm probably wrong with that |

He won't be using a new engine that much is confirmed, but if a theoretical new Koji engine, to be better than UE4: -Has to be accessible and easy to use. -Has to achieve the same level of performance as UE4. -The same level of graphical fidelity as UE4. Game design in general moves towards accessibility so creativity can flourish over hard code. Now a days anyone can make a game and developers are looking for people with game design degrees for the creativity and less for programmers, and no one understands this better than Epic, the guys behind Unreal Engine. |

He wants to make a game for now, I don't think he'd go off making an engine yet. |
