Kojima says he is 50% movies and we can see their influence directly in his games. So when I watched his second trailer it struck me the music playing in that trailer as the baby floats down that tunnel sounds an awfull lot like the "Stranger Things" theme. The florescent red blinking in the theme matches the florescent red blinking baby. Means nothing I thought until just now when I got to S1 E5 on Netflix and the kids were talking about "The Vale of Shadows". They describe the Vale of Shadows this way: Spoiler: click to toggle When you think of the upside down rainbow. The feeling you get that the 2 Death Stranding trailers Kojima has shown us appear to be happening simultaneously in different worlds. The second trailer sure does depict death and decay with skeleton soldier, disparate organs powering vehicles. There sure does appear to be some alternate dimension stuff happening and the connection between the dimensions does appear to be an umbilical cords. The same cord that gets severed when we come into this world seems like it will be our reconnection to other dimensions. I could be very wrong but Kojima may well be pointing us to the direction his game is going in with the Stranger Things references. Did anyone else get that feeling? In the same Stranger Things episode the kids discuss how to get to then other dimension you would need a huge surge of power to tear a gateway. Symptoms that such a gateway is created? Compasses true north gets skewed towards the portal. Notice how Mad's compass on his chest is swirling? It just seems that Kojima crafted his second trailer to mimics some of the happenings in Stranger Things. Likely to hint at a similar direction. Or misdirection. Alright there is no doubt about it now Kojima is definitely referencing Stranger Things. Just saw the episode where they corner the girl and the girl makes a black oil like liquid come out of their eyes. Just like the black oil like substance coming from Mads' eyes in the trailer.
